LOCATED in an upscale Glendale residential neighborhood among prime properties, it sits 200 ft. back from the street and up high overlooking the San Fernando Valley.
THE SPACE is substantial at 1,200 sq. ft. (110 m2) in a lofty basement suite with 8ft. (2.5m) ceiling and soundproof walls. It was recently restored, the floors covered with tile and carpeting for sheer livability, and the space is yours alone.
AMENITIES - A media room w/58" flat screen TV, set up as screening room w/plush leather Director's recliner chairs. It also doubles as master bedroom with a new queen bed perhaps not found better this side of Eden, but also a single bed for families with a small child.
There is another queen bed in the living room providing comfort for up to 5 guests, max. 6 with a roll in bed.
BATH - A new shower bathroom is stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion, towels and hairdryer etc., all you need.
And a large granite wet bar w/refrigerator opens up to huge carpeted living room which features an 8 ft. pool table.
AIR - The suite has central air conditioning/ heating, making for a super comfortable nest to return to. Lounge or play games at the corner card table, it is cozy and private, yours to enjoy.
TV and WI-FI provided free of charge.
COFFEE & TEA - There is a coffee maker, hot water pot and a toaster, but otherwise no cooking facilities in the suite - and no cooking allowed.
PATIO KITCHEN - You will find cereal out on the patio along with refrigerator, microwave oven, electric single burner, electric griddle, toaster, pots and pans, essential utensils, etc. and a propane barbeque grill.
The brick patio breathes peace and comfort as it sits under tiled roof and ts welcomes you with ample cabinets, tiled sink counter and total shade at mid day s it faces north.
POOL - It sits to the large pool (20 x 40 ft.) set in large landscaped yard with near total privacy. That my friend may be as close as you and I will come to Eden, an enviable spot to raise a glass of wine at sunset and ponder life.
POOL WARNING : The pool has one deep end so it is for adult/ good/safe swimmers only; minor children must be under direct adult supervision, sole responsibility of the guest.
LAUNDRY - There is a washing machine and dryer on the premises for your free use.
PARKING - There is ample off street parking on our circular driveway and parking lot in front of the house, secluded, private and free.
AREA ACCESS - You will be only minutes from freeways with easy access to the area: by car 15 min. to Hollywood, Universal Studios, Downtown L. A. and Burbank airport - 40 min. to Santa Monica beaches, Malibu and beyond.
EATERIES - Village French Bakery and Porto's Bakery are within minutes, and so is the much favored mountainside restaurant Castaway with its fine kitchen and marvelous view out over the San Fernando Valley, but.....
Above all is the sparkling new & avant-garde
Americana-at-Brand dining, shopping and entertainment complex. From there a huge variety of fine traditional & ethnic restaurants spills up and down Brand Blvd., offering a taste for every palate.
The estate was built in 1923 when the Roaring Twenties were just getting into full swing, thirty years before John Steinbeck published his epic novel "East of Eden". This is a prime Early California time piece reminiscent of the Charleston and speakeasies during the 1920's Prohibition, now settled in harmony & proud of its heritage.
That my friend is East of Eden, authentic and unique, but have no fear for there is no apple tree in the garden, no snake to tempt and also no forbidden fruit.
