John and Fe are really great hosts. They enjoy sharing their home and meeting new people. We really felt welcome and comfortable.
Our stay at East of Eden exceeded all our expectations. We had a large, comfortable basement apartment. The house is in an upmarket quiet area of Glendale. John and Fe did everything possible to make us feel welcome and at home. We felt really relaxed with them, and look forward to staying with them again whenever we visit the LA area.
John and Fe are such a Nice couple, we spent quiet a lot of time with Them. They are super Nice People to be around, and John is full of good stories that he Can entertain with. The house was as we expected, no complaints at all. The neighbourhood is a pleasure to be in, Nice and quiet, I Would recoment it to other People with out a doubt! Thanks for the stay, see you guys very soon.
Wonderful stay in a spacious and well-equipped apartment. Enjoyed John and Fe, who were helpful and responsive. The location was perfect for us, away from the bustle of LA but close enough to get to the Rose Bowl easily and many other attractions. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
This is a perfect accommodation experience.
Their house is very beautiful, you are more beautiful than the picture, here we are very surprise.
John and Fe is very hospitable, and help us to solve the problem of how to use local phone card, also recommended the very good local attractions, according to the introduction of Fe, we go to visit the scenic spots, is very happy!
First registration in the reality, because we have a lot of trouble, John helped us, very patient, let us feel very warm.
We will come to live here again next time.
We have become good friends!
Strongly recommend everyone to come here to experience.
We had a great time staying at John and Fe's "East of Eden". Our hosts were wonderful, the apartment is nice and cozy with a pool table in the main room. We drank coffee every morning at the pool with John and had great conversations. Glendale is just a beautiful place with great restaurants and breakfast places. If you like to visit L.A., "East of Eden" is a wonderful place to stay.

About the Host, John And Fe
We are FELOLITA (Fe) and JOHN ANDERSEN, and you are correct: We were not born here but had to travel like you to meet in Southern California, but that was in the last century. So welcome, let us get acquainted; we were both islanders but from far away places.
Fe was born on one of the two thousand inhabited islands in the Philippines (but did not visit them all) and came here to make the most out of life. She is a nurse and works for an international company that tests new products for pharmaceutical manufacturers.
She fled a hot sun and oppressive humidity for a kinder sunny climate, but never from her genuine love of people which we both share. She still loves the water and fresh seafood, but above all life, music, and happy laughter. No wonder she turned into such a wonderful cook par excellence.
John was born in Denmark, developed a taste for traveling early and getting away from a dreary overcast climate. He came to the USA for college and never stopped seeking new horizons. In the process he discovered that language is not just a study course, but something to practice free lance while you meet this big wonderful world of ours, which grew immensely after he parked his childhood shoes. He lived in South America, did international business and visited half of the so called countries, for you must get out if you want to meet the world and develop appreciation. In time he also followed his dream and founded a company in the medical business.
Nothing here is run of the mill. Together we have prepared a comfortable and very private home for you away from home, where you can kick your shoes off and relax in privacy. The pool is large and the sunshine plentiful, and we shall greet you when you come up the longest driveway East of Eden. Welcome to Early California;. - now kick them off.
