  • We had a very pleasant stay at Andres place. It is a little house with your own bathroom in the backyard of his and his parents house, so very private and safe. Also the neigbourhood is very nice and well located and Andres answered all our questions good and quick by email. Good extra is the breakfast, thank you Andres!

  • Andres' studio is lovely in a fantastic location in Miraflores. He organized airport transfers for me and welcomed me in the middle of the night, due to my arrival time. I would definitely recommend this studio as a base for visiting Lima, especially on a tight timeline. Thank you, Andres, for your hospitality.

  • Perfect location and very nice studio. We didn't talk too much with Andres ( we spend our time out in Lima) but the room was great for what we expected. Only a two blocks from Lacomar and very close to facilities and transport. Walk distance for Miraflores boardwalk. We (my girlfriend and I) had awesome time in Lima and Andres Studios was a nice part of it!

  • We loved staying in Andres' studio - it was nice to feel like part of the neighbourhood by staying in a house, but lovely to have a bit of our own space, too. It's easy to get around, by taxi or the Metro bus system from the house, and there are lots of good places to eat in the local area. Some of our favs were: La Lucha (the one in Larcomar mall was better than Kennedy Park), Arabica coffee on Av Grau, and an amazing bakery called El Pan de la Chola on Av La Mar. Andres and his family are super nice - their caretaker Juana is amazing. The inclusion of breakfast is a nice touch! All in all, a lovely place to stay.

  • Great Studio, Fantastic host. Located in the best area of Lima, near shops, restaurants, the best view you can have just couple blocks away and very safe. Me and my wife went to Lima in a business trip and did not know much about the city, Andres and his family kindly helped us the best they could to move around and find what we were looking for. Also they directed us to the best restaurants in the area where you could have the most delicious typical Peruvian Dishes. Andres was very helpful and polite, the communication between us was excellent weeks before i get to Lima through WhatsApp and emails. You will have quite and privacy in his studio that has a double bed and a single bed in separate small room. In addition, the room has strong WiFi reception, working desks and every morning you will have breakfast ready waiting for you.
I highly recommend Andres' studio in Miraflores. When I return to Lima I will definitely stay there again.

  • Excellent host! Excellent location! My son had a twelve hour layover in Lima before returning home to Canada and Andres kindly set up a bed for him to relax in before his next flight. Very unexpected and thoughtful. I did not see Andres much but there was no lack of communication through email. I highly recommend Andres' room for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

  • I highly recommend Andres' studio in Miraflores. It was perfect for me, but could easily accommodate up to three travelers as there us a double bed and a single bed in separate small room.

It was also blissfully quiet and felt very private.

Here are 3 other things I liked:

    1. Location: the studio is about 2 blocks to the ocean and Larcomar mall. You can see the JW Marriott from the house's backyard/garden. I tend to get lost easily so it was nice to know that as long as I could find the Marriott, I'd be able to find Andres' house.

    2. Comfort: the studio is very private and comfortable. There is a big desk which made it easy to do some work.

    3. Wifi: strong and excellent, the router is inside the bedroom.

In addition, Andres was very helpful and polite. I enjoyed chatting with him. And there is an extra phone that guests can use if needed.

    Peruvian breakfast is also included.

When I return to Lima I will definitely stay here again.

  • The location could not have been better. The neighborhood is safe, and the place is located a few blocks from LarcoMar, which is a nice outdoor mall by the beach. Andres was very friendly and accommodating. My computer was not connecting to wi-fi and he took care of it right away. The studio is situated at the back of the house, which gives you plenty of privacy. I would highly recommend Andres's studio to future guests.

  • I spent two weeks in at Andre´s place Lima in january (summer), eventhough most people had told me I´d be bored after about three days in that city. I can see their point, not a lot of action there, as far as I could see, but Miraflores is very relaxing and nice, the parks by the shore are awesome, beaches are good, weather was just perfect, food is great and the atmosphere is relaxed and safe. I was there to relax and do some reading / studying so for me it was all good.

Andres is a sweet guy, very helpful and has a mega-quick response time, great communication, and very helpful on providing everything you need, basicly.

The studio is also very nice, nicely decorated and complete with a bathroom. You have to go through the house to get to it, but I never felt like I was intruding or being a hassel going through there. And Andres` parents and the maid are also very nice and including people, good chats when you run by them.

Only problem I had was that there is a moldy smell in the studio, coming from the wall. I am sensitive to that, and mildly allergic, so I had a couple of days with allergic reactions like sneezing and a runny nose. Having the fan on at night and moving the bed away from the wall helped me, though. Not that I´m an expert or anything, and I might just be oversensitive, but I´d have a look at that if I were you, Andres. Noone else on here mentioned it, so obviously it´s not a big issue, but I have to say that I reacted to it.

In general, location is great, Andres is very helpful and the studio is sweet, totally recommendable place!

    Response from Andres:

Geir, why you did not tell me you were having an allergic reaction? Lima and Miraflores specially is very close to the sea and therefore humidity is high. There are people who are affected by that, including myself. Because of that there is a dehumidifier in the room which can be turn on to dry up the air. I think you did not turn it on during your stay and maybe that why you felt like that. I haven't smelled anything from the walls and this is the first time I hear something like that. Anyway, I could have help if I knew but you never told me.
Thanks for your stay and the review! Good luck!

  • Great location - walking distance to Larcomar Shopping Center with convenient access to ATMS, cinema, restaurants, and bars. We walked around at night and felt very safe in this area - many affluent people shop and live in this area. You can easily take a taxi to the Center or to Barranco. Andres was very nice and met us there on the first day - his housekeeper, Juana, made us breakfast every morning. Very private room as it is separate from the rest of the house - very quiet and peaceful. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing, private, and peaceful getaway then this is your house!
