Ventilated Room of 3x4 mts.2, safe and confortable. The guest is not at such but as a member of the house. We speack english.
The home is locatde in a safe neighbourhood. It's about a 20 minute walk to the centre of the city. I only had a chance to speak with Manuel once since he was working most of the time. He's a nice guy. His wife is usually home. Their dog is cute. There was no hot water in the shower.
Manuel was a great host! He helped us with the bus, taxi and rental car. It is a nice family and a good place to stay!.
We arrived a little earlier than expected, but Manuel was ready for us and came pick us up in Liberia.
He was very kind to us, and he even called our car rental agency (Alamo) to negociate a better deal, so we could keep the car and go to the beach.
The room is small but very well furnished, with a fan and a big flat screen. We slept well.
Then Manuel woke up with us (very) early and gave us ride to the airport (for a fee).
We enjoyed meeting with Manuel and his wife and appreciated Manuel´s willingness to drive us ( for a fee) on several occasions. Unfortunately the room we stayed in was separate from the house and did not contain a double bed. We also had to enter the house from the outside to use the bathroom, so a middle of the night visit to the facilities was not possible. Finally, Manuel might not yet have contacted this site to inform them that the prices quoted here are not the actual prices being charged.
Very cool guy. He came pick me at the airport and we had a good time around the town. Definately check out Manuel if you are in Liberia. (the dog is awesome too!)
We had fun staying with Manuel and Agnes! They are a wonderful family and very welcoming and open. I would definitely stay again next time I pass through Liberia, it was a great introduction to Liberia and to Costa Rica, and it was really nice to chat with Manuel and Agnes as well as other people staying.
Manuel and his family are lovely hosts.
His wife welcomed us with fresh fruit upon our arrival and then made us a delicioso traditional Costan Rican breakfast of Casado.
It was amazing and kept us going all day.
We were given a room with a twin bed and 2 mattresses which made it a little cozy for dos personas.
The area was calm and quiet.
The dogs are sweet (especially Aloo) but definitely did a good job of keeping watch on the house. Bark bark.
Overall it was a good experience and we would stay there again.
Manuel picked us up at the airport, made sure we were super comfortable, and provided us with a great stay...highly recommended
