  • Heather is an awesome host. The room is clean and nice. Two cats are very cute. The location is very good. The parking was easy and we can just use metro to tour in DC. The stay was very great. I will definitely come back when i visit DC next time.

  • We stayed at Heather's place for a couple of nights over the weekend. She is very organized and professional, friendly but unobtrusive host. She provided information for us and a map with local amenities. Her house is beautiful and in a really nice location - there is Lincoln park right at the end of the street and the wonderful Eastern market ten minutes walk away. The room was nice, with a comfortable futon bed. The bathroom next door we shared with a couple renting the other upstairs room. It's small but clean with a good shower. Excellent value for a stay in central DC.

  • We enjoyed our visit very much. It was close to Eastern Market and well situated for a visit to DC. The house was charming, clean and a comfortable place. We enjoyed meeting Heather and her two cats. Heather was a good hostess and we hope to stay there again the next time we visit DC.

  • I can't say enough good things about Heather and her place in DC! Heather is super responsive with attention to details. She was even so kind as to rush us to the bus stop in her car when it was apparent we were going to miss our bus to the airport. Heathers home is beautiful and comfortable! The "air bed" we slept on was more comfortable than many standard mattresses. Thanks Heather for the great stay in DC!!

  • Heather and her lovely house were excellent. Nice neighbourhood just on the edge of all tourist sights, so everything in walking distance, but peaceful and quiet at the same time. House is clean and Heather is a friendly host. All highly recommended.

  • Heather is a lovely young woman, and she has been very helpful for us. The house is super neat and clean, and absolutely charming, with 2 funny cats. We just had a one night stay, so we didn't have that much time to talk with her, but she did her best to make this stay perfect for us.

we came early in the morning and left late in the afternoon, and she always consider our situation managing to help us while she was busy.

Thanks a lot Heather, we did appreciate !

  • Great location on Capitol hill, near the Eastern Market. Charming old row house, clean and well appointed. Heather was very friendly and helpful, for example in adjusting her schedule to meet me when I arrived. Overall, perfect!

  • Heather made us feel welcome during our four day stay. The house is kept clean and tidy. We had access to the kitchen which became very helpful the day we got snowed in. I was able to walk to the store ( a few block) to get few groceries items and make a warm meal at 'home'. We found the location perfect. The Metrobus stops were only few blocks away to get around town.
Heather went out of her way to help my mother who was having knee issues by guiding her to the taxi and caring some of her luggage.
I highly recommend a stay here.

I am an acupuncturist who has lived in New Hampshire, Oregon, California, Hawaii and Australia, and who after quite a number of years here is still surprised to find myself living in Washington DC. I love my Capitol Hill neighborhood because it has a community feel with wide treelined streets along with the advantages of the city -- metro, shops, restaurants, and parks. As a host I'm happy to give you tips as to the best way to get around town and interesting places to go, as well as providing you plenty of privacy. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and at ease in my home.
