I have tried to reach Adam after he left this comment, to figure out what exactly happened in terms of heating. As I have not received any response from him, I presume that he simply forgot to turn on the second heater (there are two in the apartment). Guests who stayed before and after Adam confirmed that they did not have any issues with heating.
The neighbourhood was in a great location. But I didn't realise I was going to be staying in a small studio. And I wouldn't of paid that much for it. Very basic and I was disappointed in the space. Thought it was a separate bedroom but it isn't. Host was good and friendly. And th…
Response from Alex:
Hello Laura-Reianne. You didn't like my apartment, and it's a pity, given how many happy guests I have had before. My understanding is that, as in any other situation in life, "disappointment" means certain expectations that have not been fulfilled. Let's stick to the facts: - "I didn't realise I was going to be staying in a small studio" - The ad refers to the place as "studio" all the way through, and the square meters are clearly mentioned. - "Very basic" - The equipment is listed in the ad. - "Thought it was a separate bedroom but it isn't." - The ad never says "separate bedroom". The word "alcove" is used, which is by definition not a separate bedroom, and the photos clearly show the bed space as such. - "the photos was deceiving of the space" - I don't see much difference, other than extra books on the shelves. - "And I wouldn't of paid that much for it." - Well, in Paris the offer largely exceeds the demand, and I guess you had made some comparisons before booking, including the value-for-money ratios. From that, I would conclude that, unfortunately, the "disappointment" comes from the inattentive reading of the ad. I would advise that next time, when you use Airbnb, you read the ads thoroughly and ask detailed questions before booking. When I travel and am a guest myself, this is what I do. Thank you for calling me "good and friendly" :), Alex
