About this listing
Whether you are in town for a weekend or a month, this private room in our recently renovated turn of the century apartment will be your home away from home.
Your incredibly bright and sunny room has a queen bed, television with access to streaming movies and shows, desk and large closet, and overlooks our shared garden and patio space. In the event that bright and sunny is not your style, the room does come equipped with light blocking shades! You will have access to a private bathroom stocked with clean towels and toiletries for your use.
Enjoy easy airport access (short walk to free airport shuttle) in a clean, quiet and public transit accessible neighborhood. We live in historic Jeffries point, a neighborhood with Federal style brick homes, unobstructed views of the Boston skyline, beautiful parks and bike paths, fantastic restaurants and rapid access to downtown.
We are a two minute walk to the Maverick Blue Line subway station which is just one stop from downtown. Our neighborhood is permit parking only (with the exception of Sunday) so if you are driving here, we might not be the best choice for you. There are several Zipcars directly across the street from our house. We are also more than happy to lend you our bicycles.
Ben spent his childhood exploring Boston, and Molly is a former tour guide. We would love to help you plan your trip, and take advantage of historic sites, and insider treasures. Molly speaks fluent French, and can communicate on a basic level of Spanish.
We will provide a continental breakfast, and you are welcome to use the kitchen if you would like to cook.
Also available to our guests:
Yoga Mats and Blocks
Beach Towels and Cooler
If you smoke, we ask that you do so outside. We have a private rear porch, and a shared garden space for your use.
We don't wear shoes in doors and ask that you do the same.
East Boston is safe, but please be sure that all doors and windows are closed and locked when you leave.
We want you to feel at home! If there is anything you need, or would like to borrow during your stay, just let us know!
The house is a traditional Boston Federal Style three decker built in 1902 and refinished less than 10 years ago.
