We had an amazing time at La Laugerie. The apartment is very comfortable and tastefully decorated - there is even an original bread oven in the bedroom!
The setting is very peaceful and relaxing, surrounded by rolling countryside. After a days' sightseeing (at the very nearby Castle Hautefort) or biking (on bikes lent to us by Laurence) you can come back to the beautiful pool, which you have all to yourself.
The breakfast Laurence gave us on the terrace was delicious - it varied everyday and included local cheese and home made jams.
Laurence was a very generous host - she left us vegetables and fruit from her organic garden and we were able to pick strawberries and cherries right outside the house.
There is only a microwave and no hob or cooker, so if you are planning to cook bare that in mind - although there is a BBQ, which we had a great time using on the terrace.
