The Space

Gorgeous loft-style apartment in the heart of brownstone Brooklyn. The loft is a huge open-concept space (1250sq ft) with a private outdoor patio (300sq ft), central AC (which works wonders for those hot NY summers) and great heat that you can control in the winter months.

A former warehouse, the apartment retains original charm, high ceilings, exposed brick walls, beautiful wood floors. Sunny south (rear) facing and quiet building.

Open Concept - no separate rooms, it is all one large space
Queen Bed
Can sleeps up to 4 extra people (2 extra air mattress and couch)
Fresh linens + towels
Central Air Conditioning

TV - Roku for Netflix/Hulu etc.
Modern Kitchen with Dishwasher, Gas Oven + Stove, Microwave

Guest Access

The building is quiet and I ask my guests to respect the neighbors while making themselves at home. If you are a smoker please smoke outside on the luxurious private patio!

Interaction with Guests

You get the apartment all to yourself during your stay. If I am in town I will be there to check you in and show you around, if not I will arrange to get the keys to you and leave a detailed list of the workings of the apartment and be accessible by phone + email.

The Neighborhood

Clinton Hill is a great neighborhood with a friendly vibe, beautiful architecture, community parks and great restaurants and bars. A fabulous way to experience the REAL New York!

The apartment is a 3 minute walk to the Classon G (Brooklyn/Queens) and a 7 minute walk to the Franklin C (Manhattan) and the Shuttle train (Prospect Park).

Check In
  • Elise was an excellent host, and her apartment was ENORMOUS and the perfect spot for a summer Brooklyn weekend. The back patio is delightful, and I spent a morning doing some yoga in the shade and eating breakfast watching the birds. The bed is extremely comfortable, the couch is perfect for napping, the internet fast, the kitchen very well appointed, and the building perfectly silent. Thank you to Elise for sharing her wonderful home with us - we would come back in a heartbeat!

  • Elise's loft was beautiful and a rare find in this area of Brooklyn. Close to great restaurants, coffee shops and the subway. Lots of open space and tons of natural light, and a private outdoor patio. We were very comfortable during our stay and Elise was very easy to communicate with. We hope to stay there again, as our daughter lives only a few blocks away.

  • We had a WONDERFUL stay in Elise's loft. It is well-situated near multiple subway lines, a citibike station and numerous restaurants. The apartment is beautiful, comfortable and an inspiration design-wise! Elise was easy to get in touch with and incredibly accommodating. I highly recommend her place to anyone visiting New York/Brooklyn!

  • Elise was an amazingly laid back host of who's place is not only beautiful but in a perfect neighborhood.
She sent me the keys in advance so that we could arrive without having to fumble around upon arrival after a long drive.
She has great taste and the decor to the place is a perfect New York loft as anyone would romanticize. Plus she left us a bottle of wine to boot.
On top of all that, we got caught in the stow storm Hercules and all the highways closed the day we were suppose to (website hidden) a panic I emailed Elise and she said no problem take another night till it's safe to go home.
    I'd stay there anytime.

    Thanks again

  • We loved the open, sunny apartment with an industrial but warm and artistic feel. The place was very clean and had everything we could want. Elise is an excellent host and although we didn't meet her in person, she left us a bottle of wine and sent her keys to us by mail so we could arrive on our own timetable. I would definitely return here for a stay. The location was perfect for our trip. There are no stairs which was a huge plus when carrying luggage!!
