This accommodation is located on the Bukit peninsula surrounded by rustic nature. It is far away from crowded tourist hotspots and nightclubs of Kuta and Seminyak and 30 minutes from the airport.
Though they are parties at Uluwatu, and you can always find cool restaurants with lots of cuisines and a supermarket 5 minutes drive from the resort. The place is traditional Balinese with thatched roofs. Located in a rural village surrounded by 12 mango trees and and a small garden where we grow our own salad, herbs and vegetables. All inside a spacious garden property.
Within a 10 minute drive you will reach the beautiful Balangan beach, famous for it’s left hander wave, and which works at almost all tides and swells. We will also explore other surrounding surf beaches such as Dreamland, Bingin, Padang Padang and Nusa Dua, including daytrips further north of the Bukit.
After an exhausting day of surfing you can lounge around the pool or chill under the shade of the mango trees in our hammock. The resort also has free WiFi to stay in touch.
The villa consists 3 double rooms with fan and mosquito net, there is a shared bathroom with hot water, kitchen, dining area and a TV DVD sofa lounge and pool.

Manu is a great host who aims to give his guest the best experience. His goal is to creat a little community environment with like minded people from around the world. The room I has everything you and and together with the basic breakfast, is for sure a great value for money.
The location is perfect as it's in the center to go to Uluwatu, Balangan beach, Bingin beach, Padangpadang and Jimbaran to have a lunch in restaurant Balique or to visit the fish market. I also suggest you to see the sunset at the Spanish restaurant El Kabron. Of course you need to rent a scooter to explore te area and be able to visit the different beaches and surf spots.
The stay at Mangoo was probably my best place to stay in Bali.
The garden and the common areas are really nice and bring the people together.
Also the rooms have everything you need!
But the best thing is that you will meet really nice people with whom you can go surfing every day at the local beach balangan or somewhere around the bukit.
If that's what you're looking for it is a perfect place!!
I will come again when I'll return to bali.
We had a great time with Manu in Bolangon. The accommodations are great and definitely priced right and the location is awesome. It's awesome because it's off the beaten path- not because it's central- so if you're looking for crazy wild party town or an easy launching point from which to explore the Island- it might not be ideal for you. But if you're looking for a relaxing and local feeling experience (which we were and would definitely do again!) then this is the place for you!! Manu goes above and beyond to make guests comfortable and it makes a difference.
While there we did a horse back riding adventure that Manu and David set up for us. I'll say this about that- the pictures from the day were amazing. We were there during low season and got to do the horse back riding by ourselves, so we each had a guide who was snapping photos. The cliff they take you too was really scenic and the photos there were amazing too (seriously I don't think I need engagement photos after the awesome job these guys did with the photos!) then we went to tanah lot temple which was really pretty. Just be advised to check online and be really clear about the pricing for the horseback riding. It's a really fun day and worth it- but there was some confusion with the booking agency and we almost got over charged a bit. It all worked out in the end and Manu was really helpful about it- but just make sure you know the prices from the horse back riding place itself!
Again hands down recommend anyone stay here! Just make sure you can ride a motor bike!
