The room we have to offer is bright, airy and comfortable. It has a kingsize bed and en suite bathroom. Located in the centre of Dublin City, you're no more than 15min from anything. Also read further to find out about our supper clubs!
Our home is a very unique place in Dublin, Myself and partner run a website and food project called 'News of the Curd' our home is a central place for all things food and drink in Dublin, most weeks we host a 3 course meal to the public. If you happen to stay with ourselves on that evening you are more than welcome to partake! We are both very active in the community and very social. Kevin a life time Dublin knows all the spots and sights to make your stay amazing! Our apartment is inside of an older factory it's warm and welcoming. It always smells of good food. The kingsize bed comfortably fits two people! There's a big auld wardrobe for you to keep your stuff and balcony to look over the street. Bed linen and towel provided. LGBT friendly household. You are no more than 10 minutes away from anywhere in the City!
You will have your own private en suite bathroom, access to our sitting room and kitchen, though the kitchen is always a bit busy.
Interaction with Guests
We also live here in the room across the hall, we are both very chatty if you want to chat. With suppers each week we are used to having new people around. If you happen to have a meal you will get to interact with some of the most socially aware people in Dublin, find out whats on and make the most of your stay.
As we are in the centre of Temple Bar, the weekend can be on the noisy side, midweek it's pretty quite, less the few shouters. We live two floors above a nightclub, which depending on what you are used to, can be a little loud, so just incase we can give you a set of ear plugs. Depending on what music the club has on, on a particular night there can be quite a bit of bass
Dublin is great for getting around. You can walk almost anywhere, we are about 30 seconds away from a public bike rental station and about 15 min walk from most major city attractions.
We both work very long and busy days, so if at night coming in or going to not make too much noise. We are a non smoking apartment but there is a balcony in your room which you can puff away to your hearts content.
Robin and Kevin were very helpful and kind to us the entirety of our stay. Their apartment is centrally located and 2 or so blocks away from the Temple Bar. Overall we had a great experience staying with them. Only thing to be aware of is their apartment is located directly above a club so it can be noisy at night, but if you don't want noisy don't stay in Temple Bar.
The reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Great apartment, great room. En suite bathroom made it very private (when you wanted).
Apartment in an amazing location.
Robin & Kevin very cool, communicative, simpatico. Would stay with them any time!
Kevin was a lovely friendly host. (Robyn was away). This place is in a great location to enjoy all that Temple Bar has to offer. You certainly can't get much closer to the nightclubs! If sleep is important to you then, Temple Bar may not be the best place to stay. We stayed Friday and Saturday nights, maybe Mid week is quieter.
We didn't get to meet Robin, as she was away to Japan, but Kevin was a great host! He made us feel at home, was there for every need, offered advice for anywhere we may go in Dublin or Ireland in general! The room was cozy, a bit small if you have large luggage or a lot of stuff. The apartment is in a very active area with a nightlife that stretches into the late hours of the night. If you can sleep with lots of noise in the adjoining alley, you'll do fine. After flying from the Pacific time zone, it was difficult to get to sleep and get onto Dublin time with the noise. The great part is that you're in the middle of everything good in Dublin, easily a small walk or quick cab ride to everything worth doing. Great food, great pubs, lots of music, lots of fun!
My host make me feel welcome. He put the kitchen to my disposal, and once we look to a movie together in the living room. As it was my first time in Dublin, and I couldn't walk to much because my leg was paining, he accompained me to the place where my city tour begins.
The house's location is the best for a tourist - we can go on foot to the most important places in Dublin.
The night is fantastic in Temple Bar - there's a lot of fun, music, theatre, art and good restaurantes. Only a little problem for some people: near by the building there's a night club with very loud music til three o'clok in the morning, but only in the week-end. The solution is to be out too :). I like the house very much, the hosts, and I would like to come again.
The room is great and in a very convenient location. I did not see much of our hosts as Robin was away and Kevin was very busy, but we did talk to Kevin on the last day and he was very helpful and provided us with free tickets to a food event and with recommendations of places to eat/drink in Belfast.
As stated by other visitors and the hosts themselves it is very noisy some nights with the club downstairs. Depending on the music of the night the windows and furniture do rattle, but I personally found the crowds in the alley bellow to be more of an annoyance as they are right below the window. But if you can sleep with earplugs then it isn't a problem and it is the price you pay for being so conveniently located!
Great room, love all the artwork in the house!
I love to explore new places and meeting people. I'm very interested in food: my boyfriend Kevin and I run a Supper Club from our apartment in Temple Bar in Dublin.
I work for an animation company here in Dublin.
As a guest I am quiet and tidy with minimum requirements.
