We loved this apartment and city so much, we decided we would like to buy an apartment here. And, if we could, this would be the one to buy. The location was great - right in the heart of the old city. My wife was entranced by the sea breezes that lifted the curtains in our room, while we sipped the home-made liqueurs our hosts left in the fridge - along with milk, juices and many staples. The apartment was tastefully furnished and very comfortable for two people. We made a trip to a nearby beach and had nice towels to use for the occasion. We felt really welcomed and enchanted. We arrived late in the evening, but our host met us at the door, which was great for weary travelers.
Had an amazing time at Ana's apartment. As described, it was in a prime location in the old town. Everything was within very easy reach, including all the restaurants, bars and ferry port. Ana met us on our arrival even though we were delayed and briefly showed us around the area. The kitchen was very well stocked and made cooking significantly cheaper and easier. Can't recommend this apartment highly enough.
Ana was a brilliant host. We arrived in to Korcula on the evening ferry from Hvar and Ana met us at the dock and walked us to the apartment which was incredibly helpful as arriving somewhere at night is always a little disorientating. She showed us around the apartment and had kindly stocked the fridge with a few essential items (orange juice, milk and beer!). Ana also provided us with information about the best way to transfer from Korcula to Dubrovnik and the best restaurants in the area. Ana also responded incredibly quickly to emails - the only issue we had during our stay at the apartment was that the light bulb in the bathroom went, we emailed Ana and she had been and changed it while we were out during the day.
The apartment itself is great – the location is brilliant right by the top of the main entrance in to the old town of Korcula. You are within the old town walls, near to the restaurants, cathedral and museums. It’s also only a 5 minute walk from the dock. It’s a very comfortable apartment and it’s wonderful to open the shutters in the morning and hear Korcula waking up in the streets below. It is up 2 flights of rather steep stairs so this may be the only thing to consider if stairs are an issue for you – otherwise I would highly recommend staying at Ana’s apartment while in Korcula.
We are experienced travellers and frequent Airbnb users. We can honestly say that our experience with Ana in Korčula ranks as one of the very best. From the outset, communication was very easy and prompt and Ana provided excellent advice regarding ferries and where best to leave the car. The studio has so many nice touches which help to make a stay so pleasant. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful food supplies (including orange rakija, a first for us!). We would have no hesitation in either recommending Ana's apartment or staying here again.
Everything about our trip to Korcula was wonderful. Anna is every knowledgeable, helping us with the bus schedule from Dubrovnik. Her husband met us and walked us to the apartment where Ana met us and told us everything we needed to know about the apartment and the town. The apartment is beautiful and cozy. I would definitely recommend Ana's apartment for any one thinking of staying in Korcula town.
Met by Ana's husband right when we got off the boat. It was an amazing location right inside the main gate and probably the coolest location we stayed at on our 2 weeks throughout Croatia. Everything you need is 2 min walk away. Excellent place to stay for those travelling on a ferry...I would highly recommend!
I could not recommend Ana's place more for Ana's excellent hospitality. We were picked at the bus station, got help with luggage and was briefly shown around! Ana also took some time to show us the apartment and everything we need was provided! I also loved the fact that Ana has been very responsive from the very beginning until the end. I highly recommend staying with her!
