The Sleeping Indian is on a perfect location with a nice view on the actual sleeping Indian when the clouds are not around the volcano. La Fortuna wakes up early so don't expect to be able to sleep till late. Room is spacious and with a big living/kitchen area you have a nice place to relax, have breakfast and meet up with other travelers. Tours can be arranged on the spot for a good price!
Peter's place is a very good one ! Well located in the center of the town. It is clean. Peter is such a nice person, giving good advice.
A lovely place to stay in La Fortuna, centrally located, cozy and comfortable. Peter is an excellent host, knowledgeable about the area and happy to help you out with any questions -- especially when it comes to finding a place to eat (Soda Viquez!). Tours and tour operators know where The Sleeping Indian is, which is another nice perk -- especially when booking through Airbnb,
Peter's place was just ideal for a couple of nights in La Fortuna. We were greeted by Peter on our arrival and before we knew it we had a reservation for horseback riding in the morning and a complete rundown on the town including a recommendation for dinner at a restaurant just a few minutes walk from Peter's front door. His place is clean, friendly and overall just as expected. The only thing is that our room was very small with no windows and felt confining. But, after all it was only $45/noc so, who's complaining. Thank you Peter. You're a great host.
The Sleeping Indian is a really lovely hostel. Spacious shared area, lots of people staying and friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Peter was super helpful, full of ideas and information about things to do in the area. La Fortuna is a charming little town, and the location is great for visits to Arenal.
Peter was super helpful and nice as can be! Loved the quaintness of La Fortuna and would highly recommend the Canopy tour Peter set us up with. FANTASTIC :)
The Guesthouse is very nice, with very big and nicely decorated common space, including two balconies, well equipped kitchen, sofas, Costa Rica guides and so more.
Rooms are clean and absolutely sufficient for all our needs.
Peter and his dog Rocky were very friendly and Peter gave us nice tips for trips, free hot spring river, good restaurants and many more.
We really enjoyed our stay in Peter's very good located place in La Fortuna.
Very comfortable Heidi and Maria were great fun to be around
And the hostel is bright and artful and very quiet at night even in the center of town opposite the beautiful church
Peter and rocky are awesome! Super helpful in every way. I even had a small medical event (severely sprained my finger) that they helped me navigate without having to drive hours in the pouring rain or pay a lot of money for. Rooms are comfy and clean.
Right in the heart of the city, The Sleeping Indian Guest House was a great place to spend a few nights while touring La Fortuna and the surrounding area. Accommodations were great. Heidy was very friendly and helpful. She even made us some fresh juice while we were relaxing on the patio. Lots of space to park right outside (if you have a car). Not noisy at night and very clean. Totally recommend this place if you're staying in La Fortuna.
