Luke and Kyoto were great hosts and extremely friendly. The house was clean and had every amenity we needed for a 3 night stay. The house is close to town so we could walk to dinner or shopping and was private for a relaxing and quiet vacation. I can't wait to come back and visit. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here. Thank you for a wonderful time you two!
Luke and Kyoto made us feel very welcome. They were available if we had any questions but also gave us plenty of privacy. Such a great spot if you have children too as the yard was secure and our daughter loved the garden, ducks, dogs and cat. It was an easy walk to the shops but far enough away from the main street that you could enjoy the peace and quiet. The photos on the website don't do this place justice, it really was a home away from home and such a lovely space to be in with very high ceilings, everything supplied and a very comfortable bed. We'd love to come back and were very sad packing up on the last day. 8 days just wasn't long enough.
Highly recommend Kingsley Cottage! From the minute we arrived (9pm) to the minute we left Luke was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome and at home. The accomodation was clean, modern, comfortable and spacious (perfect for our two year old). Feeding and patting the friendly dogs, ducks and cat were the highlight for our little girl.
The cottage is very central to town and the beach but far enough way to be very quiet of a night.
We will definitely look at booking here again on our next trip.
My wife and I stayed at this great place during the April Easter break.
Luke was a fantastic host. He made us feel really welcome and we enjoyed exploring his awesome backyard veggie patch. He was even kind enough to mail us back our pillows when we left them at the house.
The accommodation is ideally located in Byron Bay. Close enough for you to be able to walk to all the main attractions but far enough that your away from the noisy hustle and bustle.
The accommodations itself was perfect for what we wanted. It has a large living and kitchen area which is well furnished and a large bathroom.
I would definitely stay here again when I'm back in Byron.
A great little place to stay in Byron. Close to the centre and nice and quiet. A very enjoyable stay.
Perfect location to explore Byron. walking distance from the beach and main row of shops and cafes. Luke was lovely and very kindly gave us a lift to the bus stop at 7am when we had to leave as he saw how big our bags are! He was very welcoming and also let us eat from his inspiring vegetable patch! The cottage is huge and has everything you could need - washing machine, cooler, TV and lovely organic shampoo and conditioner. Perfect location, accommodation and host!
Luke was really welcoming, the house looks exactly as per the pics and is very close to the village. Thanks for this stay!
About the Host, Luke
I am 69-years-old and very interested in health issues particularly as they relate to growing old.
I play touch rugby twice a week and spend a fair bit of time in our vegetable garden. Another interest is sustainable living.
I follow the South Sydney rugby in the NRL competition and this is my 50th year watching them.
We have four dogs (with some poodle in them) and a cat who thinks he's a dog. In addition we have three ducks who are used to control insects in our vegetable garden.
