Vernazza is a very little village. In winter we are 300 peoples.
the best public transit in cinque terre is the TRAIN Line La Spezia -Sestri Levante - Genova! From april until oct. there is also a ferry boat service, from La Spezia.
Other Things to Note
The best way to arrive in cinque terre is the train.
Our experience with Francesca was our First AirBnB Experience and it went wonderfully! She was very easy to communicate with and all details were confirmed wonderfully. The listing is exactly as described, clean, beautiful, steps from the train in Vernazza & steps from the main square & water! A wonderful experience!
Francesca's house is just 3min near train station and it's easy to find her wine shop. She is very friendly and kind. She walk us to her house and introduced this village to us. The house has two rooms but we only pay one. We think should be someone share with us but actually the whole apartment just for us. It's fully equipment and clean, also very big, quiet near the Main Street of Vernazza. Me and boyfriend like her apartment a lot. We can use kitchen to cook and the market just 2min to walk. Everything is perfect. This apartment light our trip in cinque terre. But in the apartment there is no wifi. But we can use public wifi in central square in Vernazza.
A wonderful experience all around! Francesca and her husband, Franco, were excellent hosts. Since they own a very nice wine shop just feet from the steps to the apartment, they were always accessible for information or assistance - and great wine recommendations! Vernazza is lovely - even more so with electric and candle lanterns for Good Friday, but it would be beautiful at any time! The apartment is fully equipped - we cooked some exceptional meals there with fresh mussels from the shop down the way. Linens, towels and coffee and tea were available and most welcome. Beds are comfortable, the place is bright and clean and the area is quiet. You can start the morning with an espresso and cornetto from the shop below, hike the beatiful trail to Monterrosso (the trail starts at the steps to the apartment) and reward yourself with gelato from another shop, equally close! A host to be trusted with your stay - you won't be sorry! Grazie mille, Francesca!
The checkin was very easy. We went to Francessca's wine shop 2 minutes from the train station. The apartment is beautiful, very close to the train station and the town square. I am not sure if the apartment has internet because we forgot to ask. Cinque Terre is breathtakingly beautiful so we only used our devices at the train station. We love Cinque Terre and definitely would try to come here again.
We had a great stay in Vernazza at Francesca's apartment. We arrived by train and easily found her wine shop. Her husband kindly helped us up the stairs to the apartment. The kitchen and big, comfortable bed were perfect for us! Tuesday we visited the local farmers market and bought fresh pasta, cheese and zucchini. Vernazza was the perfect home base for us as we hiked between all five towns.
My family and I stayed in Vernazza in Francesca's apartment for 3-nights. The accommodation was more spacious than I imagined and was perfect for my family. We loved Vernazza and felt very much at home.
The booking process was seamless with Francesca. Meeting up with her was a snap since her shop is just feet from the train station. We loved the apartment - it was just right for us. Presumably you are coming to hike so the steps up to the apartment won't be a surprise. It's worth every step, but consider your luggage! The apartment was clean and welcoming and had lots of natural light which we loved. There is no wifi which we knew ahead of time. Given we visited in the off season most of the town was closed down so we had little to no connection while we were there. It was actually nice to disconnect, but I mention it as a a note to do as much info gathering as you can before you arrive. We would certainly come stay again and recommend it to others.
