About This Listing
Kitchen--- well equipped don't let the size fool you! Grind and brew coffee maker, waffle iron, crockpot, egg poacher, toaster, microwave, plenty of dishes...
Cozy condo about a 25 minute walk from downtown Breckenridge, 5 minute bike ride, and easy run into town for some exercise or coffee but a bus stop right in front, as well, if you are a bus person. Embrace it, the bus is a way of life in Breck. This is a two bedroom with one private room available with full sized bed that sleeps two, shared bath.
Friendly well behaved dogs welcome! Please ask first, though, tell me more about your dog first. And have a plan for what the dog will do all day. Must be dog friendly because I have a very friendly dog.
Wood fireplace (only used when I am there unfortunately, it blows ash into the living room at times which I do not want you to be responsible for), breakfast bar, well appointed kitchen- including waffle maker, crock pot, coffee maker, coffee grinder, wide variety of bar ware, you name it--- onsite laundry, hot tub, deck with views of Baldy Mountain, building backs up to a wooded area, lots of parking.
And if I am there I usually provide the coffee!
Just a note: this place is not available long term, for seasonal workers, for weekenders during ski season... Do not contact me about long terms rentals, you may book here for the dates you are looking for.
Interaction with Guests
I am home about 50% of the time that I have guests-- I am away for work a lot, home on weekends a lot, but gone a little during the week, and often work at home.
I love the wooded trail to walk into town... It takes about 10-15 minutes, takes you to Quicksilver lift or Maggie's Pond.
There sure is! The free Summit Stage bus stops in front and drops around downtown and the gondola.
My biggest rule is to leave things the way you found them.
Absolutely no smoking, please.....of any kind. This is Colorado and I have found I need to address this. If you smoke (anything) this is not the place for you- even if you smoke outside the unit you bring the odor inside on you and I do not want that in my home.
If you cannot arrive into town by 11:00 pm please find other arrangements for your arrival night or talk to me about it, maybe I will not be home and it won't matter. Arriving at 1 am is not ok.
Other than that I just want you to have a good time, enjoy the view, enjoy the great little down.
And just keep the place cleaned up and tidy, its a quiet neighborhood, as well.
Fantastic location to stay for skiing in Breck. You just walk down the driveway (which unfortunately tends to get very icy) and you're at the Free Ride bus stop. I didn't have a car and didn't feel like I needed one during the duration of my stay. Sam is a welcoming host, and Finn, her dog, is very friendly! Overall, I would absolutely stay here again.
My stay with Sam (and dog Finn!) was excellent. A welcoming and comfortable spot. She was around and I very much enjoyed the morning coffee, and nighttime fire and conversations. She gave great directions to find the place. Very convenient to leave our car and take the free bus around town. I would definitely stay there again!
Sam and her sweetheart lab Finn are wonderful hosts! I appreciate Sam's flexibility during the reservation process, since my plans did not finalize until late in the game. Her place is very cozy, clean, and comfortable, and the kitchen very well appointed. She offered fresh brewed coffee, some nice restaurant tips, and she comfortably left me to do my own thing. Finn greeted me warmly at the door and quickly learned he would get pet and scratched when he came in my room to visit. I found plenty of pillows on the bed, and fresh puffy clean towels. While the community hot tub was not quite "hot" during my visit, the shower supplied plenty of relaxing hot water with very decent pressure (something pretty important for me). Your walk from the front door to the "free ride" bus stop is less than one minute in snow... and I found it quicker to walk to the Quicksilver lift (and South Main Street area) via short cut than to take the bus. All this convenience in a very quiet neighborhood setting... which I found peacefully gorgeous with a full moon shining down on the fresh powder snow. Thank you, Sam, for being part of a very wonderful trip to Breckenridge!

About the Host, Sam
I am a huge solo traveler. I know some people don't get that...but I love it. Don't get me wrong, I love to travel with friends, too, and love the memories created from those trips. But I don't wait to have the same time off, same budget, same interests to take a trip on my own. I love jumping in my convertible with my dog and taking a road trip.
In the past year I made some big changes.....you're looking at one of them. Leaving my beloved Jackson Hole for Colorado two years ago, then a year later moving to the mountains and taking on a crazy commute for work.... change is good, but its not always easy.
I am an event planner, so full on high energy, high stress job so if I am home you will very likely find me relaxing and enjoying the quiet moments....or you can find me on the trails with my dog...solo.
