The Space

Pacha, which is "earth" in the local quechua language, is a large room with direct access to the patio garden. Perfect for a trio of friends or family members with an en suite bathroom. Maximum capacity is 3.

Pacha is one of our 6 individually unique rooms that we offer in Picafor Tambo, a"bijou" guest house nested beneath the sacred mountain of "Pinkuylluna" with a peaceful aqua lullaby and beautiful balcony views to the Inca ruins above.

The house is located within the living Inca village of Ollantaytambo and offers you a perfect relaxing "sojourn" and break before or after your next adventure to Machu Picchu, the beauty of our Sacred Valley, Cusco or nearby into the delights of the jungle.

Our house offers the discerning guest a tranquil and unique experience of Peru and its rustic mountain countryside in a comfortable and cosy atmosphere. The house also showcases local craftsmanship and wood carving in traditional local style.

All our guests are most welcome to share our cosy salon with its warming fireplace.

We also offer a hearty breakfast of local produce to set you up for your day and of course, a full bar to relax after a full and fun day of exploring.

We look forward to helping you with your booking and making your stay with us special.

  • I wish I stayed longer!
Antonio was a great host. Before my arrival, he helped reserve a private taxi from Cusco to Ollantaytambo. I was taken to a few sights on the way as well.
Upon my arrival, he saw that I was not feeling well and rushed to make me some tea. I was traveling alone and felt so well cared for while at Picaflor. Ollantaytambo is a cute town with such character. I only stayed one night but plan to stay longer next time. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. After a difficult day of travel, this was exactly what I needed. The wi-fi was not easy to access but Antonio just graciously handed over his laptop so that I could use it. He helped me with accesing the train station and schedules to Machu Picchu. The next morning, I had a beautiful breakfast ready for me. It truly nurtured me for another busy day of travel. Antonio had been worried that I was disturbed with noise throughout the evening- I guess there was activity on the street on Saturday night. It was very sweet of him to worry- I slept great with no problems! I had a great stay in the Rumi room @ Picaflor.

  • Easily the nicest place in Ollantaytambo. Host was so nice, location was PERFECT. Just 1/2 a block away from some beautiful ruins to hike through. Breakfast was also very accomodating and nice. Super recommended!

  • Hilda, Antonio and Lillian are wonderful people. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay so very much. I will make another visit to Olantaytambo and will stay with Hilda again. Beautiful building, very comfortable. We enjoyed the Pisco Sours and Fire in the sitting room. Great company. Great breakfast too! Thank you so much for your hospitable.

  • Very helpful and they let us change our reservation many times as we were going with the flow and were not sure when we would be where. Their flexibility really helped our trip and made it work out for us.

  • From the moment you walk down the ancient Inca street you feel as though you've been transported to another time. Unique boutique inn, with lovely decorated rooms. Impeccably clean, with down comforter and good pillows. Best of all was the attentive service by the low key staff. Incredibily sweet, kind, and helpful. Safe, secure area. I would return (which we did after 2 days in MachuPicchu) and I highly recommend this inn!

  • We stayed 2 nights here and very glad we did. The location is perfect either just before going to Machu Picchu or coming back. It is very close to the train station and walking distance to cafés and shops. It is a quaint little town with great sight seeing and good food. Picflor was nice and simple. They were very helpful in hiring us a car to Cuzco which I highly recommend for the sight seeing! Overall a nice stay.

  • Such a wonderful B n B to stay in. The room and layout fit the overall beauty of Ollanta, and the staff are kind and helpful with any questions. Highly recommended.

  • My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Picaflor Tambo--it was the perfect retreat after a returning from our trek to Machu Picchu... the location was perfect, right near the center (but on a calm/quiet street away from traffic), we loved the big airy windows/balcony in our room, it was super clean and tidy and the details/accents within the space were wonderful! Breakfast in the morning was a treat, and they even left us a little breakfast to-go baggie when we had an early morning flight after our last night. We really felt welcome and at home there-- I would definitely stay there again!
