The newly renovated farmhand's cottage is set in 30 hectares of native forest and is close to the beach. It has one double bedroom, a cosy lounge room with fold down couch, kitchenette and dining area, as well as a separate bathroom/laundry. There is a pot-bellied stove for heating, a barbeque and an outdoor fire bath to soak in.
Also included in your stay are breakfast provisions, milk from the local dairy, free range eggs when available, and homemade bread, together with muesli, tea and coffee.
We are just 35 minutes from the airport and 55 minutes from Hobart, you will need to stay at least two nights to take in the many regional attractions.

The house is fully self contained with its own kitchen, bathroom, lounge and dining rooms, There is a washing machine and clothesline.
You can relax in a firebath under the stars. You have your own barbeque area and picnic table under the trees

We like to get to know you so that we can offer suggestions about the local attractions that will interest you. We also appreciate your need for privacy and your own space and respect that.
Our neighbourhood has it all, the bush, the sea and farmland. It has its own farmer's market and a gift shop offering local produce and wine tasting. It is located within an hour of the city, Port Arthur, Richmond, Mona and the ferry to Maria Island for a day visit.
Our accommodation is best suited to those with their own transport. There is a designated parking bay next to the cottage.
We are 35 minutes east of the airport along the Arthur Highway. Local attractions easily accessed are Port Arthur, Richmond, the Tasmanian Bushland Garden or Triabunna (for a trip to Maria Island). Mona is an hour away.
Other Things to Note
We are happy for you to make use of our home grown seasonal fruit and vegetables.
We have locally made ginger beers and premium Tasmanian wines, premium light/mid strength beers, french sparkling and house red and white wine for sale at normal retail prices. Cash sales only for these purchases as no Eftpos available.
The main thing is to enjoy yourselves respectfully. If there is something not right, please let us know so we can try to make amends.
Please remove shoes in house to preserve floor surfaces.
The cottage is a smoke free area.
After using the fire bath, please leave water in to cool as sudden changes in temperature can crack the enamel.
Household waste can be sorted to the relevant bins i.e. compost, rubbish and recycling. When full, place in main house bins (yellow lid is recycling).
