300year old townhouse overlooking ancient church in the lively village of Neffies with excellent restaurants, shop, and artisan bakery. On the ground floor there is a utility area, bathroom and shower room, first floor: kitchen/diner and second floor: double bedroom. Close to medieval city of Pezenas and Beziers.
Our house offers a base to relax, with excellent local wine (sold at the local cooperative), local walks, and everything you need within easy reach (city, mountains, beaches).
The house is a holiday home, and guests have access to all facilities.
We live in the UK, so will interact with you only remotely! The house is maintained by an English couple living on the same street, who will always be available if you have any questions or need help.
Neffies is a beautiful and vibrant village, with a medieval centre (where the house is found), but the facilities are right up to date - a bistro with an excellent modern French menu, free wifi and live music, very popular classical French restaurant, local shop and artisan patisserie/boulangerie.
There is a bus twice a day to the artistic town of Pezenas for shopping and sightseeing, and onward connections.
There are stone stairs between each floor, please use the handrails. There are sensor lights on the stairs for when it is dark.
We had a lovely time in Neffies and loved staying in this pretty three storey townhouse!
We will never forget picking up fresh bread and pastries from the local patisserie, just a short walk away, and enjoying breakfast on the second level with the double windows open overlooking the picturesque village.
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful village. Its a perfect location for seeing an amazing part of France. Only half an hour to either beach or amazing national park landscapes (and fantastic red wine). I must also just add that the auberge de presbytere is only 15 minutes drive and is a must for an unforgettable meal. We highly recommend Ruth's house its full of charm and character with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The house has a great traditional french homely feel and is obviously well loved. Great communication by Ruth too and was very helpful and efficient.
I didn't actually stay at Neffiès, as it was a place I found for my son & his father to spend time together. They had a wonderful time, & were delighted with the location, & with the house itself. They had all that they needed, & were very comfortable. They went to the local cafe several times, & on several drives around the area, including the Cirque d Moureze, about 20 minutes up the road, which is a little village set amongst stunning rock formations. The drive there has some of the best views in the area. I did visit the house, & found all as seen in the photos & info. Ruth was an absolute pleasure to deal with, quick to respond & very helpful.Neffiès is a perfect location for many historic & tourist sites, & its local baker & grocers shop are a stroll away from the house, with a big supermarket just in the next village. It's a good price for a pretty stone house ! Thanks Ruth.
We fall in love with Neffiés..it's a wonderful village with very nice people.Highly recommended!
Ruth house is a small but very cozy, and it's perfect for a couple! We also enjoyed a lot!
