Interaction with Guests
We try to at least be around for the initial orientation and a chat, but there are times that we haven't even met our guests. There are also times that we've all gone out for breakfast or enjoyed a meal together. It really depends on our busy schedule. We're happy to help you plan your visit, but we won't be in your hair too much!
It's a cute, quiet neighborhood about a 30-minute walk (7-minute drive!) from downtown. We're also only 2 blocks from the gorgeous Rideau River, and its surrounding park and pathways.
Driving, busing and/or walking downtown are all super easy from our place. Two bus routes each stop within a block of our house.
The only thing we ask is that you don't smoke indoors. We have a lovely back deck if you want to indulge outside! We also ask that you keep the noise down after 11pm on weekdays.
My mother and I stayed there for 5 days and 4 nights. We truly had a wonderful time. Really loved the area, it was convenient and the house is really nice. Molly and Neal are very sweet and we were able to get a hold of them at any time if need be.
We had a good stay at Molly and Neal's house this past weekend. Neither Molly nor Neal were home when we arrived and there was some issue with the lock box on the front door so Molly let us know the house would be unlocked when we arrived and the key would be in the room. Everything was as stated and the bed was very comfy. We were initially a bit worried about not having a window in the bedroom but there was one in the next room and there was a cut out in the wall so some natural light came in. The basement room and 2 bathrooms (a water closet and a shower room) we clean. We had great sleeps! We met Neal on Sunday night and had a nice chat with him. Very pleasant and interesting man. I would recommend this AirBnB to anyone visiting the Ottawa region!
Molly and Neal were great hosts, everything was just as expected. If I went back to Ottawa would definitely stay there again.
Comfortable space to rent. Really glad to have private washroom with our own shower. Hosts Molly and Neal were warm people and interesting to talk to. Would recommend staying with them if you are going to be in the Ottawa area!
Molly et Neal are a very nice couple. They live in a nice neighborhood, a 10 minute-bus drive from center-town. They were very kind and helpful. Neal taught us a lot about Ottawa and the Canadian life-style, and what we should absolutely during our stay!
My friend and I stayed in the basement of their house. It was, clean, cosy and very comfortable!
I highly recommend this place!! :)
Molly and Neal were friendly and helpful hosts. The room was cozy and spacious, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Their house is located close to a bus stop, which made it easy to get around.
Molly and Neal were fantastic hosts. They were organized, left clear instructions on how to get into the house and where everything is. Having tourism-related pamphlets in the bedroom is a nice touch. I spoke with them only briefly but they were friendly and very welcoming. The bedroom and bathrooms are spacious. Overall I had a great time and would love to go back next time I visit Ottawa!
Neal and I are an active couple in our early 30s. I'm a high school teacher and Neal works at Mountain Equipment Co-op, as well as doing instruction for several of the outdoor education programs at Algonquin College.
I absolutely love to travel! I've been all across Canada, most recently spending my March Break with friends in entertaining Yellowknife. I lived in Australia for a year in my mid-20s, and I wish Airbnb had existed then! In spite of all the wonderful places I've lived, I keep coming back to Ottawa. Neal and I both love this city, and would be happy to help you plan your visit!
