Check In
  • We greatly enjoyed our time at the hut! Very intimate setting, fantastic views and many possibilities for walks along beaches and countryside nearby. All made more pleasant and welcoming by wonderful host Dale and his family. We look forward to returning sometimes soon.
The hut held up to even the most intense storms and rain - nice and toasty indoors regardless of the outside weather. And even better still there was nothing like making a camp fire to round off the glamping experience!

  • A beautiful location with welcoming and helpful hosts. We stayed for new year when the weather was awful, but the Shepard hut served us well, keeping us warm and cosy for two days whilst looking out on the elements closing in over the stunning view of St. Ives

  • Dale was a great host: friendly, welcoming, made sure we had everything we needed and then left us to it - while letting is know we could get in touch with him if we needed anything.

The hut was great - out of the way, with a stunning view and a camp fire. We felt like we had enough privacy and even in late November with the little heater and an extra duvet the hut wasn't too cold at night.

We will definitely be returning when you get that hot tub installed!

    Many thanks.

  • The day we arrived the weather wasn't the best so we couldn't tell how beautiful the surroundings were, but by the second day it had cleared up and the views from the hut were breath taking. The hut was perfect, extremely cosy and adorable so we felt instantly relaxed. Dale was a great host, very helpful and also made sure we had enough privacy. The huts are within walking distance of St. Ives which meant we didn't need to use the car at all whilst we were there. The pubs and restaurants in St. Ives were great and the walks were great too, whilst we were there the sea was very rough which made it all the more interesting walking along the coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would always stay in Dale's huts if we were to visit St. Ives again; which I am sure we will!

  • Really cute hut in beautiful surroundings. Didn't meet the host but everything was left ready for our arrival which was appreciated. Only downside is the showers - one was broken and the other was hanging off the wall (but the latter still worked and water was hot) and there were quite a few spiders, beetles and bugs in the shower rooms especially on the arrival day, probably due to the damp weather and time of the year. Overall though, the cute hut made it a worthwhile and pretty stay. :)

  • Calm quiet hut in a field with hot water showers and fairly good cooking (email hidden) walk by road into St Ive's. Hard to find!!!

  • We really enjoyed our stay in the Shepherd Hut, it's beautifully decorated in a gorgeous setting and we'll definitely be back next time we're in St Ives. The only thing I'd say is that we found it to be at least a 30min walk from the train station up a hill - the walk is well worth it and the views are stunning, but if you're arriving by train, just make sure not to pack too heavy a bag!

  • We stayed in the cute little beach hut for 3 nights. It was a quiet, romantic place for a couple as there is only one neighbouring hut in the field. There are views of the water and a horse paddock from the hut. The facilities were basic but allowed for BBQs and campfires, although it's only a 25 minute walk into town as well if you don't fancy cooking/ driving. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks Dale!

  • Lovely setting and good location to St Ives. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the site and our cosy hut! Like others have said, the toilets are a bit of a walk (especially at night) - 'glamping' is certainly an appropriate way to describe the experience. The hut and toilet/showers were very clean. We unfortunately weren't able to take advantage of the outdoor cooking and BBQ area due to the amount of rain during our stay, but certainly enjoyed the extra touch of a toaster and kettle in the hut! Would recommend this hut to anyone looking for an alternative to camping and a bit of peace and quiet!

  • Despite arriving on a stormy night with the rain lashing down, once settled in our hut we really enjoyed the experience! The hut's are homely and very clean and tidy. We didn't get chance to use the 'outdoor rooms', barbeque, fire pit, kitchen but they were all laid out ready for use. The toilet and shower facilities are also very good. The location is fantastic but if you are not driving do be prepared for a good climb uphill. If you stay here and have a clear sunny evening you are in for a real treat.
