Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Looking for a mountain getaway? Come escape to our Poconos cottage, which seamlessly blends modern comfort and rustic charm in a private, wooded setting. Explore nearby hiking trails, indulge in local eateries, ski, fish, boat, or just embrace the tranquility of nature while sitting by the fire! You'll also enjoy fast Wi-Fi, A/C, and an indoor gel fuel fireplace.

The space
Our cottage is perfect for couples or small families. It's small, but the interior design maximizes every square foot. You'll find it comfortable, well equipped, and brimming with natural light. It sits on 1/2 acre of cleared yard that's surrounded by an old stone farm wall. Plenty of space for all of your favorite outdoor activities!

You also can't beat the location. You can find great dining within a 5 to 10 minute drive in any direction. If hunting or exploring the woods are your thing, you can simply walk up the road to state game lands 116. Going out to a 20-30 minute radius, you have the gorgeous town of Milford, the Delaware Water Gap, and skiing at Big Bear.

Whether you're cozying up in the cottage or exploring the area, you'll find something to love here!

Guest access
You will have access to everything except the unfinished basement which we use for owner storage.

Other things to note
- The cabin is fairly small and arranged ideally for a couple and 2 children. We will accept reservations for 4 adults, but be aware that you may be cramped.

- The fireplace is a free standing, gel-fueled fireplace. We'll start you off with 3 cans of fuel, each of which burns for around 3 hours. You can burn them all at once or one at a time. If you would like more than that, please let us know!

- We allow 1 to 2 small, well trained dogs. Sorry, no cats. If you plan to bring a dog, please let us know.

- Be aware that the second bedroom is an open sleeping loft with low ceilings. Children will find it fun! But full grown adults may be cramped.

- The loft stairs are narrow and very steep. Please don't plan on using if you have any mobility issues.

- We don't have a washer/dryer on site, but for long stays, we partner with a local laundromat to provide complimentary pickup and delivery service. Please reach out in advance if you'd like us to make arrangements for you!

Neighborhood highlights

I live in Lancaster, PA with my wife, Stephanie, our 2 young children, and our two (mostly) loveable dogs Archer and Finn. We own a cabin in Shohola, PA which we're currently renting out here. Why Shohola? Because we love it there! There are thousands of acres of state forest in the area for hiking, hunting, and fishing, but you're still only 5 to 10 minutes away from great food in any direction. It's the perfect spot for a mountain home!
