The house is located in a residential neighborhood of Santa Monica. The neighborhood is known as Sunset Park. Mostly single family homes in the neighborhood with a few apartments. It is a tree lined cul-du-sac street, so there is no through traffic so mostly only the residence are driving on the street. Very safe for young kids. The house is situated on the corner of the street so on the other side is more car activity. Located adjacent to Santa Monica College. During the summer months the student activity is very light. Large public swimming pool is located across the street down a few blocks.
The House is about 1.5 miles from the beach, Santa Monica Pier and Main Street, Montana Ave, Santa Monica Place and 3rd Street Promenade Shopping areas. Less than 3 miles to Venice Beach.
Santa Monica has Farmer's markets 3 days of the week. ( Sat. Sun. & Wed. ) And a Flea Market held the first and last Sunday every month.
Less than 10 miles to World class museums such as Getty Villa, Getty Center, LACMA.
Parking permit is provided and parking is readily available on the street. Up to 3 permits are included.
Convenient public transit is located nearby.
Getting to and from the airport is a cinch, just a quick taxi ride.

My family loved Sylvia's cottage! We had a little bit of an unorthodox booking (people secretly flying in from out of town for a surprise, clandestine credit cards, and all other kinds of hush hush), and Sylvia was incredibly flexible and responsive. Would DEFINITELY book again!
The house was a great place to stay and relax in Santa Monica! It is just as pictured and very clean. The back yard and patio were definitely my favorite part of the house. The street is a quaint location with minimum noise.
Sylvia is very kind and detailed. She's immediately coming when we contacted and prepared very detailed list of facilities. Her house is big and very clean. We cooked ourselves, we enjoyed two comfortable nights here. It's not far to get to the beach. Thank you, Sylvia! Hopefully we will come again.
The ultimate Santa Monica Airbnb listing. Last house on a quiet, beautiful cul-de-sac, but walking distance to a farmers market. The whole house was wonderful and (most importantly) impeccably clean! Great light in every room of the house and plenty of space. Absolutely delightful!

Sylvia's home was very spacious and accommodated 6 of us very comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, utensils and supplies that made it convenient to cook a hearty dinner. The patio was private and sunny--the perfect place to relax and barbecue during the day. Also, the location was a very short drive to the beach and downtown Santa Monica.
I highly recommend Sylvia's house if you want a home away from home!
This apartment was everything I was hoping it would be and more. Great location, great layout, lots of room etc. Everything was spotless and the house had every appliance and accessory that we needed. Sylvia was a breeze to communicate with and was very prompt with her replies. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again or to recommend it to anyone thinking of staying here. It's great!
My family and a friend stayed at Sylvia and Paul's place over Thanksgiving. It's located on a quiet cul de sac in a great neighborhood in Santa Monica. There's very little traffic. My son and I spent a lot of time skateboarding around the neighborhood. The house is very well appointed, super comfortable and absolutely spotless. You feel like you're the first people to stay there. Sylvia and Paul are great hosts. They're both super friendly and very professional. We're already looking forward to our next stay!
Sylvia and Paul's place is awesome! It's stylish with Santa Monica charm and generously accommodates families. Sylvia and Paul were always super responsive during the rental process, and were quick to meet any needs that came up while we were using their house. While we were there, they even brought us a freshly caught fish! We definitely felt welcome during our stay.
Rooms are comfortably furnished with space for kids to play. The layout of the bedrooms made it easy for kids/adults/families to have privacy (during naps, in the evenings, etc). There is a full kitchen to cook breakfast before heading out for the day. We ate outside on the umbrella covered patio table, which easily seats 6. The house is centrally located to the Pier, 3rd Street Promenade and lots of good eats (Umami Burger, Blockheads Shavery, Hungry Pocket, to name a few)! For most of the places we were visiting in the LA area, the direction from the house to our destination was against traffic, a big plus!
I could not give a more enthusiastic recommendation for Sylvia and Paul's warm hospitality, and for their lovely rental in Santa Monica. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
