Private room with a queen size bed. Guests have use of a private bath and shared use of kitchen. There are two separate sitting areas for you to relax in or you can elect to sit on the patio and watch your favorite show.
I do have a dog and your dog is welcome. Sorry, no cats due to allergies.
The house is in a great location across the Ashley River from downtown and just a short drive to the beaches. A two minute walk puts you at the bus stop for a 15 minute ride to downtown. If you prefer it is only a 3 mile drive or bike ride into historic Charleston. You can spend your evenings at one of the fine establishments in the Avondale area west of the Ashley. You will be enjoying your favorite beverage at the outdoor restaurants/bars after a peaceful half mile walk through my neighborhood lined with live oak trees.
Two bicycles are available for your use. Downtown is any easy bike ride or you can ride the 10.5 mile West Ashley Greenway or 2.5 mile West Ashley Bikeway nearby. Two beach chairs along with beach towels and a cooler are available for your use.
A sleeper sofa also is available in a private den for an additional fee if necessary. A hair dryer, iron and washer/dryer are also provided.
Have fun and enjoy your visit!!
Randy's place was spacious and comfy. Everything was as described, and the trendy neighborhood was fun to explore. Downtown was a very close drive, I recommend staying here and I would rebook with Randy for future visits to Charleston.
We had a nice, relaxing stay with Randy in Charleston. Being in town for a half marathon, a nice quiet place and the ability to cook were key, and we were happy to have both. The room and house are just as advertised, and Randy is very welcoming and provides great recommendations for things to do in Charleston. Addie is a very sweet and quiet dog, and our two dogs got along with her just fine! The room is comfortable and roomy enough for two adults and our two small dogs. It was easy to get downtown and to all of the sights in Charleston, and we also had great dining options nearby as well.
Randy's place was really great. It was spacious, clean and prepared. It was a really short drive to downtown Charleston, which was really great. I would definitely return, and stay in Randy's space any time! Next time, we will go during boiled peanut season!
Even though we didn't get a chance to meet Randy, my girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at his place. He was still accessible (via phone) and gave some great tips for enjoying our time there. We took the bicycles out for a day and went down the West Ashley Greenway nearby. Also, took the nearby bus ride downtown to celebrate the New Year's, which was convenient. Definitely recommend it, unless you are sensitive to dog hair (as some other guest have noted). =)
Randy was my first airbnb experience in an unfamiliar city and he shared the local flavor with great insight into the area. Access was great and having personal recommendations was good.
Randy was great! He called us immediately after we booked to ask what types of things we were interested in doing so that he could give us specific recommendations. He then left us a list of great restaurants and bars on the dresser for when we arrived. He provided beach chairs for us for our beach day and was really flexible about our check in and check out time. Plus Addie, his sweet dog, was a very happy bonus.
Our room was lovely, spacious, and well-decorated. His home was completely open to us and provided us tons of tourist activities to do upon arrival. Given how close Randy is to downtown, we would definitely recommend staying here however long or short your journey in Charleston.
I moved to Charleston in 2012 to open my own business. Along with my marketing business directed to people moving into the area I am a licensed real estate agent. I absolutely love it here. I love getting out exploring this great city. I am an avid sports fan. I have traveled throughout the US, Latin America, Europe and Argentina. I love meeting new people and learning more about them. I also enjoy helping them find their way around Charleston.
I look forward to helping make your stay in Charleston a great one.
