Private room with a queen size bed. Guests have use of a private bath and shared use of kitchen. There are two separate sitting areas for you to relax in or you can elect to sit on the patio and watch your favorite show.
I do have a dog and your dog is welcome. Sorry, no cats due to allergies.
The house is in a great location across the Ashley River from downtown and just a short drive to the beaches. A two minute walk puts you at the bus stop for a 15 minute ride to downtown. If you prefer it is only a 3 mile drive or bike ride into historic Charleston. You can spend your evenings at one of the fine establishments in the Avondale area west of the Ashley. You will be enjoying your favorite beverage at the outdoor restaurants/bars after a peaceful half mile walk through my neighborhood lined with live oak trees.
Two bicycles are available for your use. Downtown is any easy bike ride or you can ride the 10.5 mile West Ashley Greenway or 2.5 mile West Ashley Bikeway nearby. Two beach chairs along with beach towels and a cooler are available for your use.
A sleeper sofa also is available in a private den for an additional fee if necessary. A hair dryer, iron and washer/dryer are also provided.
Have fun and enjoy your visit!!
Randy was a wonderful host. Our first night in town he took us out for a drink and to meet his friends. The house was exactly as promised, we had plenty of room to ourselves, and the neighborhood had a ton of fun bars and restaurants. We would absolutely stay here again!
My boyfriend and I came to Charleston during our spring break and loved staying at Randy's home. Although we didn't actualy get to meet Randy, he gave us everything we needed to feel at home during our stay. He responded to my messages almost immediately and called to make sure we got settled in okay. When we arrived, we had a clean bed, clean sheets, and an info sheet with local food and transportation information. The location was perfect, as well. The house is in a very cute neighborhood just 10 minutes from downtown which was perfect for us. We were also able to bring our dog which was a huge plus in my book. We look forward to staying here again if we are ever back in charleston.
Great first time in Charleston at Randy's...location is a perfect in between for downtown, trendy Avondale is a short 5-10 minute walk with the best food at Voodoo, Folly Beach a great place to visit, Fort Sumpter, many many things to do in Charleston. Über cab was the way to go if you don't have a car and Randy has bikes if needed. Felt like we were staying with a friend...very welcoming and helpful. Thank You Randy!!!
Randy was such an accommodating host -- from making sure we were set up to arrive early to providing awesome tips on local restaurants to letting us know that we'd left something behind! A great little room and easily convenient to downtown.
We enjoyed our stay at Randy's. His place was in a good location and for a good value. Lots of cool spots within walking distance (coffee shop, oyster bar, Mellow Mushroom pizza). Just a short drive across the bridge into Charleston. Randy was very nice and very good about being in touch with us before and during our stay, and he made lots of great suggestions for places to see/visit in the area. Thank you, Randy, for letting us stay at your place!
Randy was a great host and very easy to coordinate with. Both he and his dog, Addie, are very laid back and welcoming. The location is quiet and a short drive to downtown Charleston, making this a convenient, comfortable spot to stay.
Cute neighborhood; walking distance to some decent restaurants, coffee shops, and to the Ashley Greenway for running. 7 minutes by car to College of Charleston. Randy was a great host. Loved his dog, Addie.
I moved to Charleston in 2012 to open my own business. Along with my marketing business directed to people moving into the area I am a licensed real estate agent. I absolutely love it here. I love getting out exploring this great city. I am an avid sports fan. I have traveled throughout the US, Latin America, Europe and Argentina. I love meeting new people and learning more about them. I also enjoy helping them find their way around Charleston.
I look forward to helping make your stay in Charleston a great one.
