Description

The space

Private room with a queen size bed. Guests have use of a private bath and shared use of kitchen. There are two separate sitting areas for you to relax in or you can elect to sit on the patio and watch your favorite show.

I do have a dog and your dog is welcome. Sorry, no cats due to allergies.

The house is in a great location across the Ashley River from downtown and just a short drive to the beaches. A two minute walk puts you at the bus stop for a 15 minute ride to downtown. If you prefer it is only a 3 mile drive or bike ride into historic Charleston. However, Charleston is not a very bike friendly town at the present time. You can spend your evenings at one of the fine establishments in the Avondale area west of the Ashley. You will be enjoying your favorite beverage at the outdoor restaurants/bars after a peaceful half mile walk through my neighborhood lined with live oak trees.

Two bicycles are available for your use. Downtown is any easy bike ride or you can ride the 10.5 mile West Ashley Greenway or 2.5 mile West Ashley Bikeway nearby. Two beach chairs along with beach towels and a cooler are available for your use.

A sleeper sofa also is available in a private den for an additional fee if necessary. A hair dryer, iron and washer/dryer are also provided.

Randy was an awesome host. Super welcoming, communicative and chill. It was more like staying with an old friend you hadn't seen in ages instead of a stranger. His friends were great as well! Cute neighborhood with restaurant/bar options close by and a super quick Lyft ride into downtown. Would definitely stay here again.

Randy was supper communicative, even called to check up on us when we were running late getting there. Honestly a great host. We basically had a part of the house to ourselves which was amazing so the privacy was fantastic. Everything was spotless, supplied with every basic need we could have asked for and more. Even our puppy had a back yard to run around in! Maybe the only possible thing I could thing might bother someone is the bed is a little hard but frankly it didn't matter. Great experience, very cool host. It was great.

Randy's place is very handy for going into Charleston proper. $8 Uber ride away. He has a very friendly dog and he was very helpful checking in and with tips about the neighborhood and city. Would stay again.

Stayed here on the weekend of the Bridge Run; it was quick & easy to access all the necessary race places and to find spots to get some great food. Randy was very accommodating and shared plenty of helpful recommendations for where to eat and the easiest way to get there. Would stay here again!

Great place to stay. Close proximity to downtown Charleston and the beaches. Fun town in walking distance as well.

This place is a great value. Even if you tack on an $8 Lyft each way to King street you save. The room is clean, nice sheets and towels. Randy is chill and willing to help. Will stay here next time I visit Chucktown.

I moved to Charleston in 2012 to open my own business. Along with my marketing business directed to people moving into the area I am a licensed real estate agent. I absolutely love it here. I love getting out exploring this great city. I am an avid sports fan. I have traveled throughout the US, Latin America, Europe and Argentina. I love meeting new people and learning more about them. I also enjoy helping them find their way around Charleston.

I look forward to helping make your stay in Charleston a great one.
