You are truly taken care of during the whole reservation, from our communications before you book, to a smooth check in process, to a truly comfortable and convenient stay!
This beautiful, bright, luxury 2 bedroom apartment occupies the entire top floor of a recently renovated brownstone townhouse in one of the most attractive blocks in Harlem (the building and location are so ideal that a prominent NY senator has his office on the ground floor).
The apartment has wonderful natural light with skylights in every room and both east and west facing views -- the sun rises in the kitchen and sets in the bedrooms. It is a very quiet apartment far above the street noise with solid walls and floors and no neighbors above or beside you.
The apartment is only a few blocks away from the 2 & 3 subway lines and a close walk to the 4,5, and 6 subway lines. The bus stops across the street! Very convenient location!
****Please note that our apartment is on the top floor of a four floor brownstone. This means a lot of light. But it also means 4 flights of stairs
Please note that prices vary depending on the season and number of guests. Calendar shows correct prices for 1 person
The master bedroom is furnished with a king bed and it's own private bathroom
The 2nd bedroom is furnished with comfy queen-sized air bed that sleeps 2 people. The bed is a Insta Raised Queen Bed with Never Flat Pump (please search the web to see reviews and a picture).
OTHER SLEEPING AREA:
The couch also comfortably sleeps two people.
The kitchen includes brand new modern appliances including a Bosch stainless steel gas stove/oven and microwave and a very quiet dishwasher. Also included are all necessary cookware, coffee maker, toaster, plates, glasses, utensils and a pantry with basic food supplies needed for breakfast or a gourmet night in.
An open living room and kitchen floor plan give the apartment a loft-like feel. The apartment is decorated in a contemporary European minimalist style featuring a large Ligne Roset 2-piece sofa.
High-speed wireless Internet is available throughout the apartment. Two flat-screen HDTVs are located in the living room and master bedroom with 100+ cable channels, DVR and Wii. Central heat and A/C in all rooms.
Full washer/dryer in the apartment so no need to trek to the laundromat!
The 2nd bathroom features a shower with a soaking tub.
Sheets, bath towels, kitchen towels and all other essentials (i.e toiletries, hair dryer and iron/ironing board) are also provided. The apartment is our home, so we leave everything for you to use including anything in our pantry.
Interaction with Guests
We are a low key couple looking for mature and respectful guests in our home. The apartment is yours to enjoy privately. However, there is always someone on hand to answer your questions or even to come to the apartment if you have an urgent need. We will also touch base with you every couple days to ensure that your stay is comfortable.
The location couldn't be better for a visit to NYC! Located in the affluent Mount Morris Park district of Harlem, the building is within 3 blocks of the 2/3 Express Train with less than ten minutes to Times Square, 34th Street, the Theatre District, and Lincoln Center. The building is within walking distance to Central Park, the Met, the Guggenheim, the Museum of Natural History, 125th Street, the historic Apollo Theater, and Columbia University.
The neighborhood is very safe and quiet and the building itself is secured with double front doors and an intercom entry system. The well-kept tree-lined streets feature one brownstone after another. There are many restaurants and bars nearby. In fact, the neighborhood is also home to countless celebrities including Marcus Samuelsson (Chef at the famed restaurant, Red Rooster) and Actor Neil Patrick Harris (How I met Your Mother Sitcom).
The apartment is within 3 blocks of the 2/3 Express Train with less than ten minutes to Times Square, 34th Street, the Theatre District, and Lincoln Center.

CHECK IN – CHECK OUT:
Check in is after 4PM and check out is before 11AM. We can be very flexible with check in and check out. For early check in or late check out we will always try to make that possible, but if our apartment is booked by other guests it will depend on their schedules.
Obora was an excellent host and fantastic with communication. We LOVED the apartment in the beautiful brown stone building and loved the neighborhood. I literally could have spent the whole week exploring there. Thank you Obora! We will be back! :)
dear obora, michael and aubrey,
we, a family of four, the kids 14y and 16y old, enjoyed our stay in your spacious, beautiful, sunny, central and quiet apartment.
everything was so thoughtful prepared and organised.
the apartment is perfectly located between two subway stations, a bus stops directly in front of the house.
"cafe latte" next door is the perfekt place for breakfast, lunch and dinner ( just as you said) and the whole list of your recomandations sounded just great, we loved the food at "The Cecil". caterina is the charming owner of the harlem giftshop "nilu", next door ( nobody should miss it).
after walking all day through the streets of nyc, we were always happy to come "home".
thank you very much, we would love to be back one day,
annette & family
Stayed late August 2015, family of four, we chose the apt as our 2 boys (10 & 12) need plenty of space! The apt did not disappoint, the space is amazing, coupled with being bright & sunny, however, the stairs are tough, especially after a long day walking around the city seeing the sites!
Obora & Michael were not around. But we were met by Aubrey (Obora's Dad) who looked after us impeccably. Location is good and as described, close to the 116 ST station, which means you get to use the Express trains 2 / 3, which whisk you into midtown / downtown. It takes about 20 - 30 mins depending on how busy the trains are!
Harlem, is very much an 'up & coming' part of the city, there are some great restaurants, diners and bars close by. We walked around late evenings and very relaxed and comfortable!
The vibe of the area is good, and you can see that in a few years time Harlem will be as hip and cool place to be, just like Hells Kitchen, Chelsea, Meat packing district etc etc.
Thankyou Obora & Michael we loved our stay! :)
Kevin & Family.
Séjour parfait, appartement propre et confortable, très bien situé. Le quartier est vivant et sur. Hôtes sympathiques et tres arrangeants compte tenu de notre arrivée tardive.
A conseiller !
Several times contact. At the time of arrival there was the father of Obora to introduce us in the house.
It is a beautiful appartment close to the northen intrance of Central Park. Also the metrostation 116 th Street is very close. There is a great living/diner/ kitchen and two good size bedrooms with two bathrooms. The house is clean and well equipped. We would like to be there again.
The Obora and Michaels's apartment was very lovely to stay in, it is very spacious and what I like the most it is very sunny. I liked the neighborhood, it is quiet compared to the other parts of Manhattan and you can find all necessary locations just around a corner. We were late few hours for the check-in and still could access the flat without any problems. We loved to have breakfasts and dinners in the apartment, it has everything what it is needed for a cozy meal gathering.
L'appartement est exactement comme décrit et très bien placé, proche du metro et des commerces.
Nous le recommandons.
