I enjoyed my visit here and would recommend this place to people looking for an experience that is outside of Gokarna proper. Although I was just here for a few nights, I appreciated the serenity of the location and community. I was able to take a long walk into town to visit the shops, eateries, and Gokarna Beach. The rickshaws also can be taken into town. Communal meals, yoga classes, morning chanting, and various fee-based classes were also available if interested. Overall I had a positive experience.
Yoga Meditation Organic Farm is in an attractive small village, within easy reach of Gokarna. While we had booked for 3 nights through Airbnb, most of the other guest were there for longer, to undertake yoga meditation. We were encouraged to join in whatever sessions we could, but Swamiji also made sure that we were to see and do everything else we wanted to during our short stay. This included visiting temples in Gokarna and swimming in the Arabian Sea.
Our room was cool, comfortable, full of character and with an en-suite bathroom. Using the Wi-Fi was very convenient. There was a general sense of good humour and camaraderie among the multi-national residents who also helped in the kitchen, for instance. The food was simple, as described. The day we had to leave, we went with the group for a sunrise meditation, sitting on rocks above a beautiful beach. It was so peaceful and we really missed that when we arrived in Delhi later the same day.
Swamiji arranged for a reliable driver to collect us from Dandeli and then take us to Goa airport. Before-hand and throughout our stay, communication was excellent. This place is Swamiji's vision and it was so interesting to hear her talk a little about how it came to be established. Maybe I have been inspired and I hope she will be pleased but, since returning home, I have taken up yoga again - after many years
Hari Om Susan,
Thank you for the lovely review. and I think the best part is that you've been inspired to take up yoga mediation again, congratulations!
Hope you continue the Yoga Nidra too, it's great for everything
Wishing you all the best and hope to see you here again
Love and oms
This is a place that puts you back in touch with nature ... And with yourself. My highlights were the late evening chanting sessions and a wonderful yoganidra session with Swami Yogaratna. Walks in the neighbouring village and paddy fields were most enjoyable. Though I didn't join in Swamiji took her other guests to see some local spots ... A secret pool, an undiscovered beach. These are treasures you cannot find by Googling!
The lodgings are basic but comfortable. My room had an attached bathroom with a shower and I had use of the washing machine and wifi.
The natural beauty of an unspoiled countryside is the charm of this place but the lasting impact is left on you by your interactions with Swamiji.

Born in Paris of Australian parents and raised and schooled in Mumbai, India, I'm lucky to have a unique background that enables me to be very comfortable with both local Indians and Westerners. This helps me to share yoga meditation, an ancient Indian science, with Westerners so that they really get the depth and essence, and appreciate and able to see the west from Indian eyes. I took sannyas (monkhood) initiation from the tradition of Bihar School of Yoga in 1984 and served and trained in the ashram in Bangalore branch and also the main ashram in Munger, Bihar, for 20 years and am experienced in teaching all forms of yoga meditation, see Airbnb site. I love to share with people who are thirsting spiritually. I love nature and the divine in nature and in ordinary daily life. I love chanting & singing. I love my cat, Prince Polux from Paris. I love the beach & swimming. I'm learning to live. My aim is Spiritual Practices for a Divine Purpose. Come and join me, let's have fun & joy!
