Beach Hill is a quiet neighborhood with ideal access to Santa Cruz beaches, downtown, Santa Cruz Wharf and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk! Our home is located on a quiet one way street with year around residents.
What a wonderful place to stay. Absolutely perfect. Our best airbnb experience yet. A beautifully decorated cottage near the boardwalk, close to everything. We felt so welcome: everything ready for our comfort: a very equipped kitchen with sauces in the fridge and every possible spice. All the comfort of home with the holiday atmosphere. Toys for small children and basketball basket for my boys. Thanks for a lovely stay in Santa Cruz Chad Jodi and Co.
Very nice host. We had to contact them once when we there for something trivial, and she responded very quickly. Charming house & a great location. We loved the kitchen and the outdoor area.
Perfect family vacation! Me, my sister and our boys in the main house, my parents in the cottage out back - comfort and privacy for all. Loved the well appointed and good circulation kitchen for cooking big dinners and the large dining table for all coming together to eat around... play games... tell stories... It was hard to leave the house in the mornings! The interesting materials used throughout construction of the house, as well as the design details (like the cool "floating" loft beds in the boys room) make it really unique. Ideal location on quiet street a stone's throw from the Boardwalk. Jodi was very responsive and informative. Would love to come back...
Lovely old home in a charming neighborhood very close to the Santa Cruz boardwalk yet also close to the downtown shopping area. The lock box method to gain access was very convenient and the house is comfortable and well done. Full kitchen with a washer/dryer was perfect for our trip. Double bed, twin bunks and a pull out offer a lot of sleeping room. Large dining room and island with seats in the kitchen provide lots of space to eat and mingle. The two sink bath is very nicely appointed. The shower and tub are high and a far step - no problem if you are able, but I would think hard about the arrangement if you have any mobility or balance issues. Nicely detailed book on how things in the home work, listings of what is nearby, etc. Coffee on the front porch was especially lovely.
The house was perfect! We had 5 adults and we all slept comfortably! The location was AWESOME! You are very close to both the beach and downtown...easy walking distance to both. Jodi was quick to respond to any email questions that we had. We had a wonderful trip!
This is a well-kept craftsman style house that's comfortable for a family of four. One room has bunk beds, so it's probably less appropriate for two couples. Everything is modern and comfortable.
The house has an excellent location (quiet street and it's a short walk to the Santa Cruz boardwalk and pier).
We would definitely rent this house again.
Great house and perfect location (never once used the car!). The home is so inviting we felt at home as soon as we walked in the door. We had our two young girls who loved the kids room with bunk bed and lots of toys to play with. We would definitely stay here again!

About the Host, Chad, Jodi, Levi & Judah
We moved to Santa Cruz in July 2011 from Chicago. It's been quite a culture shift; but we love it, we love the relaxed and friendly culture of Santa Cruz, we really think there's no place like it and we have traveled all over the world. We've traveled to 42 countries together and have a passion for social justice issues; both globally and locally. Chad recently founded ruly, a social impact company focused on job creation for women in developing economies. Jodi works as a psychotherapist at UCSC's Counseling & Psychological Services. Our boys (ages 8 and 9) love living in Santa Cruz; boogie boarding at Cowell's, [playing soccer at Depot Park, or mountain biking at Wilder Ranch.
This listing is for our Primary Residence, which we rent when we travel throughout the year. Grandparents and extended family are in Michigan, so we spend a lot of time traveling away from Santa Cruz to visit family or to visit more places around the globe!
