Settled under a live oak canopy festooned with Spanish moss is our Long Moss Stopping-Place. A charming PRIVATE room and bath inside a 1925 Spanish Bungalow in a historic neighborhood. Separate entrance from outdoor patio. Private door locked and closed off to remainder of house. Within walking/ biking distance to shops of San Marco and downtown St. Augustine.

The space
Nestled under a mature live oak our Long Moss room is hip, bright, and cozy. Attached to bungalow in historic neighborhood. Small in size, but not in style or comfort. Furnishings include : full size bed with down filled pillows and blanket. Vintage washed percale sheets. Local art. French press coffee maker. Small his and hers closets. Hardwood floors. Adjoining bathroom with small shower and toilet just outside of bedroom. Fresh towels and blankets provided. WIFI is included. Microwave and mini fridge located in one of two closets.

This listing is closed off but still attached to our home, where we enjoy cooking dinner, hosting friends, listening to music, playing outside, and in general making noise. If you are looking for a traditional Airbnb experience in a shared space we would love to have you. If you are looking for extra privacy we suggest booking an entire apartment or cottage. The door connecting the house always remains locked so while you may not see us there is a noise exchange.

Guest access
We live in main portion of house with two little girls ( 6 and 12 ).My children (sometimes) yell, (sometimes) they get yelled at, and (sometimes) they fight. Because of the nearness of the guest room to the kitchen you might also hear the sound of my husband and I talking, doing dishes, cooking dinner, and making coffee in the morning. The guest portion is NOT sound proof. REPEAT: You will hear our family interactions if you stay. We keep normal family hours (7am-9pm). If the noise is something that would bother you this listing might not be for you. The guest portion is totally closed off with a door. This door remains locked during extent of guest stay. There is a separate entrance for extra privacy - similar to a townhouse.

Other things to note
((On street parking is available for one car only))

*5 minute drive to beach
*7 minute drive to downtown
*15 minute drive to St. Augustine Amphitheatre- where our food truck, " The Bullet" is located! Check us out for concerts/ events/ and farmers market!!

((CHECK IN AT 2pm - CHECK OUT AT 10am))

• No kitchen access , we find guests prefer the privacy- we do provide a mini fridge and microwave in guest room for leftovers, etc.
•Please no same day bookings after 7pm

My husband and I own a vintage 71' Airstream converted to a mobile kitchen. We are stationed at DOS coffee and wine (right down the street from our Airbnb) for lunch from 11-3 Monday- Friday and at the St. Augustine Amp for concerts. Check out “ The Bullet “ while you’re in town! I've always had a slight addiction for interior aesthetic and creating an experience with design. I hope this is reflected in our listing. I love dragging my kids to flea markets and antique stores in an effort to score unique vintage and antique pieces. I'm not sure they share the same enthusiasm but I like to think I'm nurturing an appreciation for design or a future hobby ;) We are a family of foodies with my husband at helm as Chef / Owner of our food trailer “The Bullet’”. As a Culinary Institute of America Alumni our menu focuses on “street food” with an emphasis on technique and responsible sourcing. Check out our (Hidden by Airbnb) : thebullet_streetfood Wishing you new life, new discoveries, and many more sweet memories. May you have a fun and memorable lifetime experience on your travels! Cheers!

During your stay
My husband and I have started our own food truck recently in addition to having a second job. Rarely am I available to greet guests and show them to their room. I always leave clear directions on how to access their room on the day of arrival. I've provided a local's guide to the city and would be happy to offer more personalized suggestions to visitors. We enjoy hosting guests, and while we are always available to answer any questions, our aim is to respect your privacy.
