The host Emi was very friendly just like what previous reviewers have all mentioned! She was always available and able to respond to any request we had, (such as calling for a taxi and preparing breakfast for us at 5am).
The apartment was just as shown, very spacious and homely. The cleanliness was top-notch, and I definitely did not encounter any bugs during my stay. Also, since all my friends loves dogs, we had a really fun time with the playful golden retriever, Jason.
The neighbourhood is located in a quiet area, which had little traffic at night. I would surely recommend this place to my friends if they ever wish to travel to Jogjakarta.
Emi is an absolute gem! We can only reinforce what others have said about her warmth, hospitality and beautiful home. If you need local transportation to the surrounding sites , we highly recommend to book it through Emi. Her driver Pak Ilham is very knowledgeable and resourceful, and the car was spacious and very comfortable. Price is also as good if not better than the market rate. Enjoy this beautiful home and true Indonesian hospitality!
Emi's place is wonderful. Ideally located in the city, rooms are big, clean and very well furnished.
Emi is really a great host, discreet but available, she provided us very good advices on where to eat (she knows the best restaurants in town), organised taxis and drivers for our daily visits. It will cost you less than 30.000 rph to go downtown by taxi, 450.000 a day for a car including a very nice and interesting driver.
I would definitely come back there and recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet and charming place to stay in this amazing city. It is a 5 stars rating without a doubt.
Lovely accommodation and a perfect host.
The Heritage Pavilion was beautiful - and despite being in central Yogyakarta was relatively quiet as it was set back from the road and in a gated residence (which also made it feel extremely safe). Rooms and bathroom were fantastic and bigger than I had expected.
Emi was a great host - she ensured we found the place easily and was on hand to help with getting taxis and suggestions for timings and where to go. She even made us a packed breakfast for when we got up super early to go to Borobudur.
I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
Thanks again Emi!
The host made us feel very welcome! She was very helpful in booking our day trips. We'd give 6 stars if we could. The neighborhood was very representative of Yogyakarta and we had a lot of fun.
We had a fantastic 5D4N stay at The Heritage Pavilion and the hospitality of Emi is 2nd to none. The rooms were clean with full amenities that you'd get at any good hotel, beds were confortable and the location is in a nice quiet neighborhood with easy access to the central shopping area of Malioboro and also some pretty good local & western restaurants a few doors away. Good value (compared to Malaysia!!) is to be had at R&B Grill where you'll get great dry aged & Wagyu beef at nice decent sizes at prices that won't even start to make a dent to your wallet. For local food, there's also the restaurant just 2 doors away from Emi's place...the roti canai there is certainly a great snack/dessert but beware, its also calorie & heart attack inducing (find out for yourself the size of the butter that goes with it)!! Notable also is the durian & alpukat (avocado) juice. Emi (& her very friendly Golden Retriever - Jason) is not only hospitable but also a knowledgable host. She got us a car & driver for our day tour to Prambanan, Borobudur & Mt Merapi with a very nice driver in Pak Ilham and for very decent prices. We won't hesitate to recommend a stay here and look forward to coming back one day.
