The historic Annex is one of Toronto’s most beautiful neighbourhoods. This building sits central to everything; a block away from subway access and minutes from the bustling scene of Bloor Street. A well-lit studio apartment with an unobstructed view of downtown and a full size balcony!
It is a studio (bachelor) apartment, but well-sized and perfect for two people hitting the big city for a little visit. Comfy bed, lounging area, dining area, full kitchen, and full bathroom. Older building, and simple amenities, but all well-maintained and comes complete with charm. The unit itself is abundant with light and features a fantastic view of downtown. Outside, we've got a full balcony, which is prime real estate come summer, with chairs, a table, and a little barbecue. You need anything I'm missing, you just let me know!
As guests, you'll have access to everything. I've got everything up to speed in the kitchen. Linens and towels are good to go. My mini-library of books is yours to read. Wireless internet is available, but the only thing I don't have is TV. I know, but I've moved everything online, and I hope you're not coming here to watch TV : )
Interaction with Guests
I am available to meet and greet and get you settled. During your stay I am available via cell phone as often as you need. Usually I'm within only an hour's distance. Have great neighbours and local connections should you need any support. The building is also filled with great people and well-managed.
"The Annex is one of Toronto's oldest neighbourhoods and its first streetcar suburb, characterized by its distinctive tall narrow houses, and lively community along Bloor Street. Considered a food and shopping mecca, this district is well known by Torontonians as one of the friendliest neighbourhoods in the city."
You are within a block of both the Bloor and the University subway lines, and the street car track down Spadina. I'm not sure you could get more central than this!
Walking you can be at College in 20 minutes and into Kensington Market. Heading East you'll arrive in Yorkville in less than that.

I had a great time at Andrew's place! Andrew was very helpful and welcoming - he got back to all my questions quickly and happily accommodated my request to check in early. The apartment is in an older building, but the space is cute, tidy, and nicely furnished. I was very comfortable there. The location is absolutely fantastic - just a few minutes walk to Spadina subway station, plus tons of restaurants and amenities (grocery stores, pharmacies, etc.) within just a few blocks. It was perfect for a weekend in Toronto!
Andrew was very helpful when we extended our stay for another day. Apartment is very convenient to all the downtown area. Walked to Casa Loma and the restaurants/grocery shopping on Bloor street. Subway is very close (north/south train is 5 min. north, and the east/west train is 5 min. south). Eaton mall is within a few miles. Royal Ontario Museum is also very close. The south facing 8th floor view was great both daytime and (website hidden) Tower is very colorful at night. Andrew was very helpful with parking. Free parking in the building parking lot. We left the car parked for the whole trip. Bed was very comfortable. Room does lack a TV and microwave. Clean and all other conveniences are provided.
Just got back from a week at Andrew's perfect Spadina Studio. Hubby and I were visiting family and needed a home base that was close to everyone. Andrew gave us great instructions on how to access the unit along with everything we would need to know for a good stay. The neighborhood is homey, not touristy, and makes you feel like you live there, which always makes me feel good when I come back to T.O. The apartment is very well stocked with tp, towels, laundry soap, coffee etc. The view from the place is amazing and the big balcony was a nice perk. We did some laundry, hung out, and walked everywhere, took the subway all over and saw tons of people. Check out Bellwoods Brewery down on Ossington and Argyle for some beers that will change your life, and we had some yummy walnut penne at Insomnia over at Bathurst and Bloor, just a short walk from Andrew's place. Love this town! We would definitely book this place again.
Everything was exactly as Andrew listed. Follow up information and instructions were spot on. Terrific location and view. One block (a short block at that) to the Subway station - Downtown in 12 min. Great!
Spent two weeks here and I couldn't have felt more at home. It was in a perfect location with a beautiful view. Andrew was more than helpful and would always get back to us straight away. Would recommend to all.
Andrew is the perfect host. Before we arrived he sent me an email with all the information I would need.
The apartment is spotlessly clean, very well equipped, and the balcony overlooking the city is spectacular!
One whole wall of the apartment is windows, and as we were there in June we slept with the windows open (there are mesh insect guard things) which was just heavenly.
It's a minute to walk to the nearest subway/ streetcar stop and it's easy walking distance to lots of Toronto's fun neighborhoods.

I am writer, editor, and communications professional. Also a MA student here, studying the art of communication. I'm a Toronto native, but spent the past 10 years on the West Coast.
I am very easy going and welcoming to all visitors. Will certainly help you get situated in the city and point you in any direction you need to go. I am culturally enthusiastic and fairly well-versed with local restaurants and establishments. This location is extremely versatile and close to everything. I keep things simple, but any requests you have coming into my humble abode will surely be accommodated. I am available via cell phone 24/7 (within in reason). Any questions at all, you just let me know!
