  • Sandi's B&B is a perfect example of the "home away from home" concept. The radiating affection and the timely precision with which the ever energetic Sandi looks after her guests makes them instantly feel at home. Sandi literally "mothers" you. How she comes up with dishes to suit your palette, and that too at short notice, is really phenomenal. Our dear Sandi is never short of fun and wit and keeps you entertained like "children come home for visit". No wonder, because she herself is comfortably ensconced in the "orchard" of her own seven children and fourteen grandchildren, if I remember the figures right.
We visited this facility towards the beginning of winter. There was no scarcity of hot water or room warming gadgets. The electric blankets under the fairly large Queens bed gave the necessary warmth during the night. There was the TV for entertainment and plenty of magazines, especially the ever popular "Readers Digest" to browse through at leisure. All in all, we felt extremely comfortable and literally "at home".
Thank you for giving us a memorable time, dear Sandi, you are a "good soul". May The Lord give you a very long life and us another occasion to meet up!

  • We were there only for 1 afternoon. Sandy was very kind in dropping and picking us from some if the key spots. In the morning she dropped us to inter city bus stop.. Great hosting!

  • Sandi gave us a great welcome and had good local knowledge and recommendations on what to do and where to eat in Rotorua. We stayed for one night and our room with ensuite was well suited to our needs. It was roomy enough with a tv, air con, and located at the back next to the heated pool. Sandi makes a scrumptious breakfast and it was the best we had on our trip in NZ.
Thanks for your hospitality, Sandi :)

  • THE BEST!!! Great location, lovely room, magnificent breakfast, and best of all Sandi herself.

  • Unfortunately due to some system complication with AirBNB I was not able to stay with Sandi; however, Sandi was excellent in resolving the double booking issue and was very gracious even though the mistake was on my part.

  • This must have been our best airbnb experience so far. Sandi (email hidden), looked after us like a mum would:-) She arranged a cultural Maori night for us and had lots of other great recommendations for us, too. She even offered to do our laundry for us for free! The room we stayed in wasn't the one that was described here but similar and well equipped. The breakfasts just next to the pool were beautiful. Thank you so much, Sandi. If we're ever back in Rotorua, we'd definitely stay again.

  • Lovely room with tea and coffee, TV and a great bathroom. Sandi was a wonderful hostess, arranging for me to attend events and attractions and, as I didn't have a car, she either arranged for the bus to collect me from the door or she or her husband dropped me off and picked me up again. They were both extremely helpful, and I would unhesitatingly recommend the B&B to anyone visiting Rotorua. If you do go, order the 'Sandi Special' breakfast and enjoy!

  • We stayed in a different studio to the one in the photos, but it was a great little space adjoining the heated pool!! Sandi was an absolute gem, full of useful tips about the area and served up a brilliant breakfast! Although to the rear of the property, the studio is close to a main road which could occasionally be heard in the night, but this is more than made up for by Sandi's hospitality and fact that tons of activities are nearby. A great little stay.

  • We enjoyed our stay with Sandi. The room was quirky and charming and the garden and pool are lovely. Sandi is very friendly and helpful. She booked a Maori Cultural Experience evening for us when we arrived. She also gave us good advice about our onward journey. We would highly recommend her place when you are in Rotorua.
