  • Cat and Rico were great hosts with a beautiful home! My boyfriend and I stayed in the Art Garden Apartment for 2 nights and had a great stay. The room itself is a bit small, but the bathroom is spacious and we had a lovely, private, and large porch on which we enjoyed the delicious breakfast they prepared for us each morning! We also used the aquarium passes, which were great. We recommend staying here for sure! Location is convenient and the view is beautiful. Enjoy! :)

  • This was a great little room, in an awesome location. The room is in an idyllic garden, with great views of the ocean in the distance. Cat and Rico are about 10 minutes from Monterey, and just 5 or so minutes to Carmel Beach, as well as all the shops downtown. We loved our stay here, and hope to return soon!

  • Had a lovely stay with Cat and Rico during a California road trip. The room is very private and the deck has a lovely view during the day.

There are quite a few steep stairs leading down to the room, so those with mobility issues should pass on this one, but if you can make the journey, the location is worth it!

The breakfast was delicious both days we stayed, and Rico kindly fixed a special vegetarian version for us on Day 2.

We had a great time at the Aquarium, the passes are a great benefit.

  • After driving through the breathtakingly beautiful Big Sur we made our way to Carmel for a 2 night reprieve and wished we could have stayed longer. Cat and Rico were great hosts, and their dog, Gus, is an absolute champion. Cat and Rico's place is situated in a quiet little road with parking available outside. The room has it's own pathway down the side of the house making coming and going very easy. The room was neat, the bed comfortable and the private bathroom was . Breakfast served out on the little private deck was fantastic. Thanks for everything Cat and Rico
