Michael is a skilled host. He lives right in the center of happening Burlington.
Michael was very communicative from the second we confirmed our booking. He followed up twice with detailed directions to the house and he was flexible with the key retrieval. He cooked us a tasty breakfast, with pomegranate juice and hard cider jam, and we had great coffee conversation about his community work. This early 1900s row house in downtown Burlington has a lot of charm on its own. Michael has great style and his attention to details adds great ambiance. The bedroom is bright, clean, warm and quiet. We did not have time to soak in the claw foot tub but that looks like the spot to unwind. Enjoy your trip to Burlington.
Our goal was to find a nice BnB to stay at while we picked up our son from UVM for break. Michael met us at the door upon arrival with a smile and helped us bring our bags in. He was extremely friendly and relaxed, which allowed us to feel very comfortable staying in his home. The room was straight out of Better Homes & Gardens with wonderful creative touches, such as an end table made out of a suitcase. The "piece de resistance" was the beautiful sunlight bathroom with a claw-foot tub and a separate shower, which was all ours to use! Then, the breakfast was just one of the best experiences ever! Warm muffins, a freshly prepared scrabbled egg dish from the local market was served alongside juice, tea and coffee, completing the 5 star experience! Also note: Michael is a parent of a UVM student and he was previously employed there as well and hence is extremely knowledgeable of the area and UVM. I hope this reviews helps you find a great BNB and helps Michael acquire new guests that he works so hard to attract!
Michael was a wonderful host. The house is absolutely lovely and really nicely renovated. Everything was clean and lovely. Michael is a very warm and friendly person, and a fantastic cook. Breakfast was amazing! The location of the home is ideal...walking distance to the center of town, and a half mile to UVM. I would definitely stay here again.
Michael was great! He had everything set up for us when we got there. The bedroom was comfortable and the bathroom was as beautiful as in the pictures. He also made us breakfast! Yummy waffles with homemade compote and Vermont maple syrup. We really enjoyed staying and would stay again if we make it back up to Burlington.
My husband had to make a unexpected visit and this turned out to be a very easy and comfortable stay for him near the UVM campus. Easy communication and close to everything this was a great find at the last minute.
Mike was a great host! His home is located near the town center so it was easy to walk over and enjoy the shops, restaurants and the awesome farmers' market. The room and bathroom were clean and lovely, and Mike was very flexible and communicative. We had a great time chatting with him, and he gave us lots of recommendations for things to do and restaurants. Would love to stay with him again.

I like to host and entertain in my distinctive townhouse. When I travel I seek unique lodging experiences which are comfortable and convenient, and I provide the same. I have visited all corners of the US, a good portion of Europe and East Asia. Meeting a wide-range of people is enjoyable. I have the ability to hold up my end of the conversation in most any situation.
Originally a farm boy from the Midwest, I have been in Vermont for 15 years. I've found many hidden treasures and like to share those with family and friends.
I embrace diversity. Everything in moderation has been a good life motto for me.
