I had a great time in Brooklyn staying at Antonia's place. It's very convenient to public facilities and is in a pretty quiet area. The property shows its age at times but is spacious and pleasant.

This is a fantastic apartment in a great location. It's convenient for several subway stops (even during rush hour I made it to Canal Street in Lower Manhatten in about 30 minutes), as well as the park and Brooklyn Museum. The apartment itself is comfortable and roomy, I had no trouble with noise, and Antonia provided an additional air conditioner when the heat was getting a bit much.

I stayed in her apartment for 8 days with my parents who had come to visit me. It was a great experience -- we had the house to ourselves with minimal disturbance and she had stocked the place with almost all required amenities such as cutlery, kettle, microwave and plenty of bed sheets. I do think the place, especially the living room, could do with a revamp as it looks shabby. The bed is pretty comfortable. Oh, and it really gladdened my heart to see that she gets the house professionally cleaned (we had to check in earlier than expected and when we did she was getting it cleaned). The biggest plus is the location and the privacy. I'd definitely recommend this place.

I stayed at this apartment for a month. Here are the pros and cons in my opinion: Pros: Location is great for those who want to relax or if you have children (close to park, zoo, etc). Also close to 2,3,4,Q subway lines if you have work in the city. Antonia was nice. She greeted me and showed me around the apartment when I first came. She was easily reachable when I had any questions and checked on me during my stay. She even offered to come set up extra AC for me if I needed it. Cons: I was disappointed with the shape the apartment was in. The furniture was old and some was wobbly. The cabinet in the living room was so wobbly that when I was trying to move the couch and accidentally hit it (not that hard) the vase on top of it fell and broke, almost hitting my head (I should note that I purchased a new vase to replace the broken one although this was a major safety hazard and it could've taken me to the hospital if it had hit my head). There was clutter under the bed and inside closets and kitchen drawers. The inside of the couches in the living room was dirty (dusty/hairy) and I dreaded the moment the remote or my phone got squeezed inside and I had to reach in for it.

We had no great experience in New York, and the apartment Antonia contributed to charm : great location (metro, various restorations food ...) , quiet and with plenty of room for 2 people. Clean and well equipped . We have not met Antonia but we knew she could help us if necessary. We recommend Antonia and her apartment :-)

Apartment located in quiet building and safe neighbourhood. Close to subway and local restaurants. Clean and spacious but tired and shabby. Bed pretty comfortable but really needs new bed linen that actually fits the bed. Did not see Antonia and she did not enquirer if everything was OK. I was annoyed that we had to go considerably out of our way to get the key ie a different subway line and then walk several blocks with heavy packs after a 24hr flight from Australia. When I emailed her to see if it could be left at a more convenient pickup she did not return my email. However she did allow us to keep our bags there until the evening when we had a late flight on departure. It was reasonable value for money.

Myself and my daughter came to New York for a Ballet Dance competition. We did not meet Antonia due to her and our busy schedules but Antonia was always in touch if we had any problems. The apartment was exactly as pictured and was in a very nice area and was very close to everywhere that we had to be for the competition. It was a relaxing place to come back to after a flat day of competition. We were so lucky to have Anotonia's apartment as it is usually booked up and for good reason. Would highly recommend Antonia's apartment and would definitely look to stay there again if and when we return to New York. Cheers Dave Maskery

I lived in this apartment for nearly 8 years. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed being able to step right outside my door and into the park, museum or farmers market. I needed more space to do workshops but couldn't bear to let this gem go quite yet. My new place is not far away, so if you're coming alone and want someone to hang with for a night or two, we can get together, schedule permitting.
