The property of 180 acres rests in the apron of the Blue Ridge mountains, just 6 miles west of the gate to; The Shenandoah National Park. So if you are on a hiking adventure it will only take you a short drive up the mountain to the park.
The wine enthusiast will be happy here, we have 12-15 wineries within a short drive of the farm. If history is your thing, then you have come to the right part of Virginia. Montpelier the home of James Madison is 20 minutes away and Monticello the home of Thomas Jefferson will take 45 minutes to get to. Ashlawn home of James Monroe is just around the corner. History is every place all you and the family have to do is get there from here.
Our farm house and gardens have been restored for comfort and relaxation. We are not off the beaten path, just really in the country. The acres of the farm provide a secluded feeling of home and happiness.
The stately nature of the house can accommodate a house full easily. Our TV room is also the den, so you can take off your shoes and relax with your favorite show. Because the Dish will only allow one show at a time, the TV in the kitchen will show the same as in the den.
Our front porch has swings and benches for just quiet time. If you really want to get busy, we have large lawns and gardens where the children can play and run.
The patio in the back of the house has a gas grill for your use, with tables and chairs for dining. A full service kitchen is at your service.
