About this listing
Ciao! We are Francesca and Marco. Welcome to our place: flat refurbished in 2012, wi-fi, air conditioning and all the amenities you might need to feel comfortable when away from home. Looking forward to meeting you!
Ciao! This is Zanella 59!
Marco and I live in a modern flat of two bedrooms (one for us and the other might be for you) and a bright living room. 2 bathrooms (one is exclusively for you) and 10 windows! We are in a popular condominium, but the interior has been completely refurbished and we really appreciate living here. It's about 100 square metres and there's much light.
Wi-fi use (1Giga per day) is included in the rate.
The area is nice with many amenities and good places where to eat. Just ask us for advise.
There is plenty of public trasportation (no metro but trams and buses and trolleybuses, also metropolitan trains - passante ferroviario!) and we are comfortably near the bus line to Linate airport. And some 20 minutes by train from Rho Fiera (and EXPO area).
Marco is a lawyer and I studied philology and work in the digital communication area; last year I founded Sei al verde?, a program about sustainability and I am very concerned with smart mobility. I am studying the mechanics of bicycle and recently got a degree as a Bicycle Mobility Promoter at Verona University.
Marco and I like travelling, either visiting or receiving the world in our milanese flat. So, welcome: we are looking forward to having you at your italian home!
We share our flat and all our commodities with our guests. I always try to help for any need. There are maps and plenty of information on practical and turistic issues. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen and fridge, the washing machine and iron if needed. They will often find fresh home made bread I make (according to my mood).
There is also the possibilty to park the car inside the backyard and close the bike in the safe basement. You can also borrow my bike if you promise to keep it safe.
Interaction with Guests
I work as a freelance so I am pretty flexible with my timetable. I will be present to help when needed and to prepare a good breakfast for my welcome guests.
I like the area: it's a popular interesting area of Milan, nearby the Ortica you might have heard in some popular songs. We have bars and restaurants and curious spots. We are 5 minutes walk from the Frigoriferi Milanesi, the new cultural district. We are nearby cycle paths and some 10 minutes walk from the nearest station of bikemi (the public bike sharing of Milan).
We are not far from the Forlanini Park where I often go jogging, if you wish to join.
There is plenty of public trasport (no metro but trams and buses and trolleybuses, also metropolitan trains - passante ferroviario!) and we are comfortably near the bus line to Linate airport. And some 20 minutes by train from Rho Fiera and EXPO area (Porta Vittoria station).
Other Things to Note
We started being travellers with Airbnb. Then we decided to bring some world at home and we are really happy we made this choice. People staying with us are always special and nice.
I expect our guests to feel comfortable, at ease and happy. We do not allow pets because Marco has a strong allergy to cats and dogs (and horses... but I don't expect you riding your horse to our place). Our guests are welcome to smoke on the balcony but not in the house please.
We had the most wonderful stay, Francesca and Marco are more than hosts they have become friends. They are extremely welcoming, friendly, interesting and fun.
We are always made to feel like we are at home. The room and bathroom is ideal for 2 people. The apartment is also ideally located to a very good station and good tram connections.
We highly recommend staying with them. We look forward to seeing them again next year
Disponibilità, cortesia e clima friendly. Posizione tranquilla ma non isolata e ben fornita dai mezzi pubblici. Nel complesso una buona soluzione che suggerisco.
Ospite gradevolissimo, molto disponibile e socievole. Zona tranquilla e ben servita.
On Sunday night under a very heavy rain i have reached very late at night to Francesca and Marco's amazing, cosy apartment.
The welcoming hospitality started with helping me to carry my suitcase, offering me a glass of warm tea... and a huge smile.
It did not stop than!
I have stayed with them 6 days, and each day i was astonished again, by the warmth, welcoming, supporting embracing, so in to the deals approach.
Don't miss the chance...
it's not that simple to find such open heat to welcome u.
and all the above is just on top of the beauty, level of service, the bed shits, the room... the decoration, and what u expect from having your high quality room with a private bath and breakfast!
It was a pleasure to stay at Francesca and Marco`s place again. They are the nicest people ever. My friend who came with me to stay there said: " Francesca and Marco make me appreciate Milano". They have a nice and clean home and take great care about the people visiting. Thank you. xoxoxo.

About the Host, Francesca
Milan adopted me some ages ago. I work in the digital communication area and recently co-founded a start up.. I travel riding my bike, like xc skiing, going to the cinema, discovering nice places, meeting interesting people, tasting good food and wine. I love literature, art, design and innovation.
