About This Listing
The flat is located on the second floor and has an independent entrance.
It is made up of a bedroom with a king-size bed, a toilet room, a shower room, and a living room with a well-equipped kitchen and a laundry. A third bed is available in the living room.
There’s a big garden, too: if you like you can relax in it or use the barbecue.
There is a spacious free parking at only a few steps from the house.
The flat belongs to a typical ancient country house in the small village of Cincelli, nearby Arezzo, where the Arno river is crossed over by a Romanesque bridge of the 12th century (some argue that it might have inspired Leonardo while painting the "Monnalisa"). Cincelli represents an example of perfectly-preserved countryside village, with its beautiful church and old houses, some of which date back to the 15th century. In the past it was very important during the Roman Empire for its pottery sent all over the word.
Only few kilometers of the so-called "Wine-road" lead to the Medieval city of Arezzo, however Cincelli is a good starting point to visit Florence, Siena, Pisa, Perugia, Assisi, the Casentino valley, Sansepolcro, Anghiari and many other charming towns both in Tuscany and in Umbria.
The city of Arezzo can be reached by bus, however it's more convenient to travel by car in order to explore the countryside of Tuscany.
The Price Includes bed linen, towels, paper, essentials and final cleaning.
You’ll have access free wifi.
There are also three bikes available for you.
If requested we can provide for you iron and ironing table and toaster.
You’ll find coffee, milk, tee, packed biscuits, pastries, rusks, marmalade and butter.
For cooking: salt, pepper, vinegar, oil (local), spices and if you like fresh aromatic herbs from the garden.
To Reach Our House
If you come from the airport of Rome take the A1 motorway and exit at “Arezzo”.
Follow the direction Bibbiena, at the roundabout, turn on the left to Castiglion Fibocchi. Arrived at “Ponte Buriano” cross the old bridge on the River Arno. At this point don’t follow the direction Castiglion Fibocchi anymore but go straight on to “Pieve San Giovanni” after a little while you’ll see Cincelli road sign.
Go uphill road at the end of it turn on the right: there’s a curtyard, the house is in front, at number 22 ring the bell “Ivana Ducci” (my mother).
Coming from Pisa airport or Florence, if you wish going for a shorter road you can exit at “Valdarno” and then proceed to Castiglion Fibocchi, Ponte Buriano,Cincelli….
If you come by train it’s possible to rent cars directly in front of the station by “Avis” or booking on line.

This is one of our favorite apartment so far during our holiday journey in Italy, A very cozy n beautiful place, Host are very helpful, very nice , help in giving us a good experience in fire wood plus the traditional bread on Easter.Everything are well prepared. Thank You so much! We felt at home.
Sencillamente perfecto.
A presto!
Everything about Gian Maria's place was wonderful, and she was a delightful host. Very warm and welcoming, with plenty of good local advice. The apartment is charming and extremely well appointed. We will stay here again for sure.
As we were arriving after a long, tiring drive, Gian Maria cooked us a meal for our first night. She also left us a delicious apple cake, made with apples from her tree.
This stay was certainly one of the best airbnb experiences I can imagine!
- Great communication with Gian Maria
- The most cordial welcome by Ivana (including a tasty home-made apple pie)
- An apartment equipped with incredible attention to detail (from extra duvets to samples of toiletries to universal plug sockets etc.)
- A stay in a country house with a history and a lovely garden
If you are looking for an authentic experience in the Tuscan countryside with a personal touch, this place is highly recommended.

About the Host, Gian Maria
I grew up in Arezzo, while now I live in Pisa, where I am a PhD student in mathematics at Scuola Normale Superiore. In addition to math, and science in general, I like very much movies and music (I am an amateur piano player).
I enjoyed a lot the hospitality of Airbnb guests, from New York and Chicago to Naples and Gent, and many other places. I hope, together with my family, to make you feel comfortable and spend a few beautiful days in Tuscany countryside.
