Description

The space

The flat is located on the second floor and has an independent entrance.
It is made up of a bedroom with a king-size bed, a toilet room, a shower room, and a living room with a well-equipped kitchen and a laundry. A third bed is available in the living room.
There’s a big garden, too: if you like you can relax in it or use the barbecue.
There is a spacious free parking at only a few steps from the house.
The flat belongs to a typical ancient country house in the small village of Cincelli, nearby Arezzo, where the Arno river is crossed over by a Romanesque bridge of the 12th century (some argue that it might have inspired Leonardo while painting the "Monnalisa"). Cincelli represents an example of perfectly-preserved countryside village, with its beautiful church and old houses, some of which date back to the 15th century. In the past it was very important during the Roman Empire for its pottery sent all over the word.
Only few kilometers of the so-called "Wine-road" lead to the Medieval city of Arezzo, however Cincelli is a good starting point to visit Florence, Siena, Pisa, Cortona, Perugia, Assisi, the Casentino valley, Sansepolcro, Anghiari and many other charming towns both in Tuscany and in Umbria.
The city of Arezzo can be reached by bus, however it's more convenient to travel by car in order to explore the countryside of Tuscany.

The Price Includes bed linen, towels, paper, essentials and final cleaning.
You’ll have access free wifi.
Children’s high chair and baby cot is available.
If requested you can use two bikes.
We can provide for you iron and ironing table and toaster.
You’ll find coffee, milk, tea, packed biscuits, pastries, corn flakes, rusks, marmalade and butter.
For cooking: salt, pepper, vinegar, oil (local), spices and if you like fresh aromatic herbs from the garden.

To Reach Our House
If you come from the airport of Rome take the A1 motorway and exit at “Arezzo”.
Follow the direction Bibbiena, at the roundabout, turn on the left to Castiglion Fibocchi. Arrived at “Ponte Buriano” cross the old bridge on the River Arno. At this point don’t follow the direction Castiglion Fibocchi anymore but go straight on to “Pieve San Giovanni” after a little while you’ll see Cincelli road sign.
Go uphill road at the end of it turn on the right: there’s a curtyard, the house is in front, at number 22 ring the bell “Ivana Ducci” (my mother).
Coming from Pisa airport or Florence, if you wish going for a shorter road you can exit at “Valdarno” and then proceed to Castiglion Fibocchi, Ponte Buriano,Cincelli….
If you come by train it’s possible to rent cars directly in front of the station by “Avis” or booking on line.

We will provide all the necessary information, we are happy to interact with you for any advice, so that you can better organize your holiday without wasting your time.

What a sweet, sweet place in the middle of a tiny village in the Tuscan hills. We got a very cordial reception and attention throughout our stay by Gian Maria's mother... she even baked us a cake! The appartment has some guides about where to go and look around in the surrounding area. Do feel free to add to those with the ones you find at the tourist offices during your stay, for yourself and those who come after you. The house is a well-maintained traditional country-style manor, and because the appartment is directly under the roof the windows are quite small. No problem, if you crave the sun, there is a pretty garden full of flowers. A sweet, well-lit appartment with everything you need for your stay. The stairs are broad, well-worn and a little uneven, with a handhold on both sides, not terribly steep or high. If you have difficulties walking, remember that this is an appartment on the second floor. Because Arezzo itself is a "stone" city, coming home in the midst of flowers, butterflies and birds after a day of sightseeing felt as pure bliss. We saw a regular bus service, but because the house is in a really small village, you had best consider coming by car for going around and doing groceries.

Our stay was all we expected and more. Lovely Gian Maria and Ivana were available to us, super nice and helpful (not to mention the cakes!). The area is gorgeous and a car is a must. Highly recommended!

Gian Maria wasn't at home but his mother, Ivana, welcomed us with a delicious cake and lots of information about the surrounding area. We could always contact her when we needed to borrow Bikes, get the TV to work or had any other question. The appartement is part of an old house and is very nice decorated with a fully equipped kitchen. We felt immediately at home and could quite enjoy the surrounding Toscana countryside. You can cross the famous Ponte a Buriano if you drive three minutes (the bridge from the Mona Lisa) and if you want to eat some tasty food and delicious vino you can walk to Fattoria La Vialla in 45 minutes (15min with bicycle). We can't wait to come back for a second visit!

It was the perfect location for some relaxing days with lots of things to do near by. The location is very calm and quiet, sights and all nice villages (like Arezzo, Lucignano etc.) are very close. We were in the apartment for a wedding close by. Gian Maria and his mother are the best hosts, very friendly and caring. They have lots of tipps of things to do in the region. You feel like being part of the family in the beautiful ancient villa. There even was a perfect baby bed for our 7 months old baby. The apartment is very nice, cozy and clean. Although there is everything you need, whenever you need something specific there is alsways someone to ask for. For us there could have been no better place to stay. Thanks a lot!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights while attending a wedding nearby. The apt was great, exactly as advertised and Gian Maria and his mother were welcoming and very helpful. I would suggest anyone stay here!

Although we arrived late Gian's mother showered us with kindness and concern. After a stressful drive from Florence, unaccustomed as we are to Italian roads and driving conditions the warm welcome we received was most appreciated. The kitchen was stocked with breakfast food and other essentials for our week long stay. Ivana had even baked us a delicious cake! The apartment is situated in a tiny village 14 k from Arezzo. There is so much to explore in the surrounding countryside but a car is a necessity. The garden was beautiful and we looked forward each evening to the sound of church bells playing a melody from the tower of the ancient stone church. The apartment has been elegantly renovated and has everything you could want. We loved our stay in Cincelli and recommend it's beauty, history and tranquility to all.

Heartwarming welcome and Gian Maria's mother baked a delicious cake with fruit from the garden. She also gave us fresh herbs and apples. The house provided all the convenience we wanted. The location is perfect and brilliant. We've had a great time in Cincelli! Thanks you Ivana for everything, you are so kind and a pleasure to talk to.

I grew up in Arezzo, while now I live in Pisa, where I am a PhD student in mathematics at Scuola Normale Superiore. In addition to math, and science in general, I like very much movies and music (I am an amateur piano player).
I enjoyed a lot the hospitality of Airbnb guests, from New York and Chicago to Naples and Gent, and many other places. I hope, together with my family, to make you feel comfortable and spend a few beautiful days in Tuscany countryside.
