The Ile Saint-Louis is 'the center of the center' in Paris, it is one of the two small islands in the Seine river, hosting Notre Dame and other major sites like 'le Saint Chapelle' and the former royal palace now serving as the 'Palais de Justice'.
It is the most expensive part of town in terms of real estate prices because there is no other place in Paris where it feels so romantic, so middle age, so Parisian, so special with all the bridges and the water and the boats and bakeries and cafes and and and.... And you are right between the two great neigbhourhoods Saint Germain and Le Marais. left and right on the other side of the river, reachable in a few hundred meters only.
But you don´t necessarily have to spend the million to buy a nice little apartment here to have a place to stay, you can rent ours by the night for around 0,0002parts of that million. Our experience at the beautiful Seine Island apartment was wonderful. The space was clean, cosy & comfortable. It had two sweet little twin balconies with a view down the street and the corner cafes. We liked the minimalistic decor with a modern flair. We were greeted by our host to make sure all was in order and was graciously left with a bottle of wine to welcome us to Paris. There was a full kitchen, so we enjoyed getting fresh cheese, fruit, yogurt, etc. at the little market a few doors down for a simple breakfast and coffee each morning before venturing out to see the MANY beautiful sights (much of which was within walking distance from our place).
The stairs are not ideal for those with mobility limitations, but my daughter and I appreciate the extra steps to burn off all the amazing and delicious food & wine you'll find in Paris. The stairs were not steep and were well lit. We felt very safe with a locked entrance door and a secondary secure door at the end of the foyer before making your way to the apartment. Overall, we would certainly recommend this apartment as a great choice if you're planning a Paris getaway!

Overall enjoy the place. Was expecting at least a partial view of the Seine river, windows face the opposite (street) direction. Be sure to take your own soap/shampoo. The stairs are killer! I've stayed at a few AirBNBs and this one definitely felt like a rental property vs. someone's cared for apartment.
It's hard to find anything to say when it was all so painless and easy to organise with Justin and Sara.
I'd highly recommend Justin's place anytime, and I will most definitely hope to use it again myself.
Super and interesting location with everything you need. Very professional from start to finish.
Thankyou so much Sara & Justin for such a wonderful experience in Paris! We loved staying at your apartment, just what we needed! We absolutely loved the location, felt very lucky, & have highly recommended it to our family & friends!
Very nice apartment in an ideal location. The studio is clean, in nice condition and the kitchen is very well equipped. The location is about as good as it gets for exploring Paris. We will certainly stay here again.
We stayed in Paris during December 2013 for 6 days. Justin's apartment was perfect for a long stay as it had all the amenities and comforts of home. The location is quite central to a lot of tourist attractions and has no shortage of cafés and boutiques on the Island. Justin was very helpful in assisting us with our arrival and giving us some information about the area. We will definitely recommend this apartment to family and friends who travel to Paris.

This is a magical little place that's close to everything! Notre Dame is basically in the backyard. We loved how you could go out the door, walk down the street and pop into the delicious fromagerie, patisserie, boucherie, boulangerie, all within 2 short blocks. ALSO, the awesome cafe across the street, the St. Regis, has a really good happy hour. We had an amazing stay and would come back.
One note: there are 108 stairs with no lift (it's at the very top of the building) so the space might be more difficult to access for older guests and people with leg injuries.
This place is centrally located to everything! Going north, you have the hotel de ville station which takes you to Louve, Champ Elysee, Arc. Going south, you have the st.Michel/Notre Dome station which takes you to Orsay, Eiffel tour, and many others.
Place itself is a nice size studio with clean bed and bathroom. It also has a laundry machine which you can do laundary if you are there for a couple of weeks. Lots of breakfast options just down the stairs on the island. Only downside are the 5 flights of stairs. This is typical for Paris old buildings but after a long day, the last thing you want to do is 5 flights of stairs.
My only suggestion for Sara/Justin is to provide more paper towels and toilet paper. We ran out the last day after a 4 day stay. Everything else was just perfect and made our Paris stay very memorable! Also free WIFI is a major plus! Hotels charge you per day - 20 euros!
Thanks to Sara and Justin for a very pleasant stay in this cosy flat on Ile Saint-Louis. They gave us all necessary information, met us on arrival, presented the flat in perfect condition and Sara (being American) eliminated any language barriers....This is a perfect location, central and still quiet at night. Everything within walking distance, but save some breath for the stairway coming home...
Hope to stay in this flat again. Kjell & Kine Oslo/Norway
