Gabriel and Hisnyi were not around when we were there, so instead Gabriel's brother Christian was the one who hosted us during our stay. He was nice and gave us recommendations around the area. You have to take a bus to go to the touristy side of Venice, but it was ok.
Our experience here was so wonderful! We only planned on staying one night, but ended up staying an extra because they had an extra room and the location was perfect - right next to the transit. Christian (the brother) was so friendly and helpful suggesting a nice cheap place to eat on our first night and was an exceptional host. I would absolutely recommend this place! The air conditioning was great and the breakfast the next morning was nice as well.
Christian was a very friendly and organized host, giving lots of information about the area, including bus stops and restaurants/shops. The b&b is very quiet but close enough to the bus stop to not wear you out before visiting the city. The room was clean, and comfortable and the breakfast easy and convenient.
El lugar es perfecto. Todo muy lindo. Habitación amplia. Limpia. Con aire acondicionado. Un rico desayuno. Y los chicos más que amables!
Christian made me feel welcome and came right up to meet me when I arrived at the gate. He showed me to my lovely room and was responsive to all my questions, including offering suggestions for places to dine within walking distance. Breakfast was great, and he gave me a ride to the airport. The neighborhood was nice and quiet.
This was my last night of a month-long trip, and it proved to be a lovely setting to complete my journey. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
We felt welcomed. The place was as seen in the pictures. Just a couple of things that were not as satisfactory: 1) there were ants 2) we were not notified ahead of time that we needed to pay the tourist tax in cash 3) we were not notified ahead of time that the host would be coming in to change the towels in the bathroom.
Other than that, we had a pleasurable experience. The AC was definitely a plus.
What a fabulous place to stay while exploring Venice. It is so quiet and well set up. Spacious clean rooms with a great welcoming. Great local restaurants and supermarkets.
