  • We love the Zilker Park Guesthouse. It was very clean and spacious, with a big closet and lots of shelves in the bathroom to store stuff. The bed is really comfortable with a lot of good quality pillows. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook and Daniel left a fruit salad in the fridge for us when we arrived. The yard is beautiful and we enjoyed having breakfast out on the deck every morning. I love the south Austin neighborhood the Guesthouse is located in, it's quiet and great for walking. Daniel is an excellent host, he greeted us when we arrived and gave us some great suggestions for dining and entertainment. We will definitely be staying at the Guesthouse next time we visit Austin.

    Response from Daniel:

Tell Steve its an airmattress, not a trampoline..... :-). Solo is checking it out and sniffing for the leak. Also, thank you Steve for the t-shirt you left. It is too small for me so it will be washed and properly folded waiting for you to return.

Did your dogs get mad that you were cavortting with five other dogs? Actually I think Pippa is a spy and was sending your pooches reports. Most of Sunday and yesterday they would go down to the deck and peer in looking for you. Jilly made some barking demands, after awhile they would slowly walk back to my place disappointed.

  • We just spent 4 nights at this little gem. The Guesthouse was a perfectly planned and executed space. There was so much light in the living room, kitchen and bedroom, which suited us well. It was spacious and well furnished. The back yard was in bloom and attractively landscaped. Our host Daniel greeted then gave us the 'tour', and brought us a fresh fruit bowl. It was such a quiet space and area yet within a few block of Lamar with all its restaurants. Did I mention it was meticulously maintained and clean? It was. We will be back.

  • My fiancee and I were in town for a family wedding. The location was great — right in the middle of all the events. Everything was about 10 mins away. The neighborhood is very quiet and friendly. Zilker Park is minutes away; definitely check that out if you are in the area, it's beautiful. Daniel was a great host. As mentioned in other reviews, he brought us fresh fruit as well. He was great with communication. If we had any questions, Daniel was quick to respond and took care of any concerns we had. His five pups are adorable and will visit often :) Would love to stay again if we are ever in the area. This home is highly recommended!

  • My parents came to Austin for the first time, and spent a very relaxing and pleasant weekend, staying at Daniel's place at Zilker. Thank you, Daniel! The accommodations were beautiful, comfortable, and super convenient. We couldn't ask for more. Can't wait to return!!

  • Our stay at the Zilker Guesthouse was absolutely amazing. Daniel is a fantastic host, he is a real gem! Wonderfully sweet, he had flowers for us when we arrived, and different treats during our stay; one day we came back to find fruit salad in our fridge, another he brought us some bread budding he had just made. The house itself is extremely comfortable, with all you need for cooking and hanging out. We spent way more time at home that I would have imagined, and it was totally worth it! His dogs are incredibly sweet too, and anytime I needed an instant smile, I would go have them shower me with love. I'm sure if you're not a dog person, though, you would hardly even see them. I absolutely recommend this place, and we will certainly be back soon.

  • Daniel is a very considerate host. From the bowl of fresh fruit salad when we arrived to a hug goodbye as we left he showed concern for our well being. His guesthouse is clean, cozy and comfortable. (Good thing since two of our days started out as "snow days").
He provided printed tourist information plus gave us additional suggestions once he knew our interests.
He was also quick to attend to the few questions we had about the guesthouse. We were very satisfied with our experience.

  • Our stay at Daniel's guesthouse was consistent with all the great reviews we had read about it. It is in fact a mother-in-laws's suite attached to his home. The separate entrance was nice, and we felt that we had adequate privacy. The suite is well-appointed, spacious and has a well-equipped kitchen. The king bed was comfortable, and the bedroom had a roomy closet, as well. The location was great for us as our daughter lives nearby. We would be happy to stay here again.

  • I was seeking a calm and quiet place to work between Austin business meetings and found it at the Zilker Guesthouse. Dan is the consumate host: right there when you need help or information, but unobtrusive when you need solitude and uninterrupted hours of work. As delightful side benefits, Zilker Park and Barton Springs Pool are a quick walk down the hill when you need to think and walk and breathe fresh air. Highly recommended. J.

  • Zilker Guesthouse was the perfect home for our first visit to Austin! Daniel is a champion host and a really nice guy. He runs a super professional airbnb operation and is very knowledgeable about the city and its history. He helped make our 3-day weekend extra enjoyable with great recommendations and even a couple of rides. Daniel also loaned us bikes for an afternoon ride, which was above and beyond our expectations and the listing.

As for the guesthouse, it faces a lovely yard with large windows and tons of sunlight. Super comfortable couch and living area with a big kitchen. Another nice touch - Daniel left us some welcome food and coffee for our first morning, plus fresh flowers - all class.

The king bed is *very* comfortable and the bathroom is nice and clean with a great shower. Overall the house is appointed and decorated very nicely and has everything you'll need for your stay.

Located in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful trees and landscaping, you can walk to S Lamar Blvd and a bit further to South Congress. Tons of coffee, breakfast and taco places around as well as some great restaurants.

Daniel has 4 dachshunds and they are very friendly and fun to play with. Lots of laughs as they patrolled the grounds.

My wife and I would definitely stay at the guesthouse again. For everything you get and the location, this is just a great deal for staying in Austin. Thanks Daniel!
