About Our Home:
We have a luxurious & stylish family-friendly house in downtown Toronto's hip Leslieville neighbourhood. Our home comfortably sleeps 4 (although we can accommodate up to 6).
We have a modern kitchen, including dishwasher and gas range. The living room has a comfy couch and TV with satellite HDTV cable, AppleTV with Netflix, and surround sound stereo system. The living room features a cozy gas fireplace, with remote control. The basement TV has a PlayStation 3 game system (including Netflix and Blu Ray player).
On the second floor there are 3 rooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom has a queen size bed. The second bedroom is our daughter's, and has a double bed. The third room is an office, and doesn't have a bed.
The basement has been recently renovated, and is a rec-room / kids' play space. There's a couch, and a queen size air mattress / air bed in the basement.
We have 2 full bathrooms (4-piece): one is on the second floor, and one is in the basement. Both bathrooms have soaker tubs with showers.
Enjoy a drink and the propane BBQ on our back patio, which was landscaped in 2014.
We have central heating and central air conditioning. We have high speed, wireless WiFi internet if you'd like to bring your own computer.
We have kids' things that you're welcome to use (toys, books, kitchen stuff).
We have a private parking spot in the back, should you wish to rent a car while in Toronto.
We live on a quiet, tree-lined street, just off of Queen St. East, in the heart of Toronto's Leslieville neighbourhood. The Queen 501 streetcar, which runs right by our house, was listed in National Geographic magazine as one of the Top 10 Trolley Routes in the world. The New York Times called the Leslieville area one of the hottest neighbourhoods in Toronto.
There is world-class dining around the corner, as well as a grocery store and The Beer Store within 3 blocks. Also nearby is the Toronto Beaches area, featuring a long sandy beach on Lake Ontario, and miles of walking trails. We have 2 bikes that you can use (including a child's bike seat).
Greenwood Park is at the top of our street, and features a free public swimming pool, splash pad for kids, playground, soccer field, baseball diamond, etc. There is a free outdoor ice rink and hockey rink in the winter.
Our house offers quiet, comfortable, residential living, within downtown Toronto. No car is necessary to explore the city. But, if you want to rent a car, day trips include Niagara Falls, and Ontario's wine country.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Summer bookings (July and August) are a minimum of 5 nights.
