The space
Folly Cottage is an annex attached to where we reside at Cannon House and is totally separate and private with its own entrance. The Airbnb is nestled in the heart of the picturesque town of Sedbergh, a gateway to the stunning Howgill Fells in Cumbria and the enchanting Yorkshire Dales. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of Sedbergh, where a warm and inviting retreat awaits at Folly Cottage.
Our thoughtfully designed accommodation features an ensuite bathroom, ensuring your privacy and convenience. Enjoy the comfort of sumptuous towels and take a moment to relax with a long soak in the bath after a day of exploring the breathtaking landscapes on foot or by bike. The double bed is comfortable and cosy, and extra blankets and hot water bottles are at your disposal.
The room is equipped with amenities to enhance your stay, including tea and coffee making facilities, a toaster, and a mini-fridge. For cycling enthusiasts, we offer secure cycle storage. This must be pre-booked when reserving your accommodation.

There is a private entrance to Folly Cottage from The Folly. This is the access to the double room and ensuite bathroom. There is a locked door between Folly Cottage and the main house. There are no shared spaces.

Other things to note
Cannon House is a family home. I have two children(both at school) and a dog. There may be times when you are able to hear us but it will be very minimal.

Folly Cottage is approx 300 yards from Main Street where you can find pubs, cafes, a chip shop, ice cream and waffle shop, a book shop, craft shop, greengrocers, butchers and hardware store. Most Wednesdays there is an outdoor market on Joss Lane car park where you can buy bread, eggs, cheese, local meat, fresh fruit and vegetables.
Folly Cottage can be found in The Folly and is a stones throw from beautiful views of Winder Fell, and across Sedbergh School Rugby pitches to Frostrow and Holme Fell.
