Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Located beside a babbling creek, our 2-bed, 2.5-bath log cabin offers a unique blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Whether you're an avid hiker or seeking a tranquil getaway, our cabin's allure lies in its intimate connection with nature. Immerse yourself in the soothing sounds of the river, explore nearby trails and unwind on the creekside deck surrounded by the forest. Warm up by the wood-burning stove in winter. Experience the magic of Cheyenne Canyon-book for an unforgettable stay!

The space
Our space is best suited for mature adults looking for a relaxing retreat. We are located in a small, quiet neighborhood in North Cheyenne Canyon. Although the cabin feels like a getaway from the hustle and bustle of life, there are about a dozen other homes near by.

We are just minutes from Helen Hunt Falls and any hike in Cheyenne Canyon including Seven Bridges, St Mary's Falls, Mt Cutler and Stratton Open Space. We are only 12 minutes from a grocery store and 15 minutes to Downtown Colorado Springs. You will feel tucked away in nature while still having access to our growing city!

You will enter the home on the first level. On the first level you will find the primary bedroom with a king bed and en suite, the fully stocked kitchen, coffee bar, dining room, powder room, living area, dry bar and dedicated desk space. Out the sliding glass doors by the dry bar, you'll find the large deck, hot tub and the creek literally steps away. Up the spiral staircase, you'll find the second bedroom (king bed) another full bath and a balcony with creek and forest views.

FAQs:

-What type of coffee do you have? We have a Nespresso machine and a drip coffee maker. We supply vertuo pods for the Nespresso machine and a jar (800ml) of coffee grounds for you.
-How close are you to skiing? We are located in Colorado Springs. Colorado Springs is about a 2 hour drive from the nearest ski resort, Keystone.
-Will there be snow? Although we can't predict the weather and this could vary, snow will usually be on the ground from end of November to March-ish. We usually get our first snow storm of the year in October and our last snow as late as May. Snow in the spring and fall typically melts within a few days.
-Do I need a car? Yes, you will need a car to access this property. Lyfts and Ubers don't alway service this area. We recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle all year round, but you will definitely need a 4-wheel drive car if you are visiting when there is a chance it could snow (between October-May).

Guest access
You will have private access to the entire home, 1 car space of the garage and
all outdoor spaces.

Other things to note
PLEASE READ!!

AC:
Our home does not have AC. The cabin sits at about 7400 feet above sea level, is surrounded by tall trees that provide a lot of shade, has the creek water that cools the air and sits in a valley that also limits sunlight and gets a nice steady breeze.

More importantly, the temps from Colorado Springs to this cabin are different. The better location to get weather from is Cascade, CO. Cascade is just a couple valleys over and the town sits at about the same elevation as our cabin. The outside night time temperatures drop much further, and much quicker because of the altitude

DRIVING AND ACCESS NOTES:
A 4-wheel drive vehicle is needed to access our home during the winter months (October–May). The drive is truly stunning, with beautiful views along the way, but it does include a winding road with a couple sections that have steep drop-offs and no guardrails. During this time of year, snowy conditions are common, so if you're not completely comfortable with winter driving, we encourage you to plan accordingly.
The road is plowed when it snows, but it may still be a bit slick right after a storm. With a little extra caution, the drive is very manageable, and the destination at the end is well worth it! This is one of the area's most visited roads year round, and we're confident you'll find the journey as beautiful as the destination. The road is paved except for the last quarter mile

CELL SERVICE & WIFI:
-there is no cell service at the house but as soon as you connect to the wifi you can call, text, surf, stream on your phone as normal (as long as you have a smartphone). We have the strongest wifi possible, but occasional outages are still possible (although rare)

WILDLIFE:
Woodland critters abound in the woods surrounding the house! Deer, bunnies, birds, squirrels and chipmunks patron the yard. Although uncommon to see, please be aware that bears, mountain lions and bobcats also live in the forest around the house.

GARAGE:
We do have a detached garage that you can use during your stay. However, the clearance is lower than a typical garage and it cannot fit taller trucks.

HOUSE RULES:
-Maximum of 4 guests, no unapproved guests are allowed to stay or visit
-Absolutely no parties or events
-No pets
-No smoking or vaping (smoking is not allowed outside as it is a fire hazard)
-No campfires outside, do not put wood or any combustible in the propane fire pit.
-Before using the wood stove, guests must watch our safety and instruction video
-please do not feed the wildlife around the house
-check in anytime 4pm, check out by 10am

HOT TUB:
Our hot tub is serviced and cleaned weekly. You might see the hot tub maintenance person stop by during your stay.
