I live in a house in the trendy hood called Brooklyn Lefferts Garden. This room is part of the house that's based in multi-ethnic, friendly, safe neighborhood. I can also take you or show where to go for a delightful hang out spots or bars with Jazz concerts and hilarious comedy shows.

Please note that this not a hotel room with a 24 service which is why it's so so so much cheaper, and much more laid back than hotels. Also, the room is in a house that was built in the 1920s so while you can find so many of Brooklyn's characters in it, it's not really shiny. In addition, the pictures are taken by a professional Airbnb photographer. I love those photos but some guests commented that Airbnb photos didn't convey the real look of the room. In any case, pictures are taken for the same room, I assure you. Lastly, please consider picking up after yourselves (towels, bath stuff, bathroom mat, and wash your plates/pots after cooking). At times, guests think that the house is untidy or dirty when it's actually another guest who decided to leave things unwashed... etc :). In addition, please be advised that when you don't clean after yourself in the kitchen or bathroom, or when you eat in your bedroom that there may be a chance that you see a mouse or roach. Thanks for reading.
Frontyard, livingroom, kitchen, and bathroom.
Interaction with Guests
As much as guests want. I may or may not be present during the stay but if I am not, someone else should be at home to help you when you need.
I love that my neighborhood is diverse, fun, not uptight, open, and I mostly love that I can get anything anytime of the day or night. I love that there are so many cafes and restaurants. I love that there are museums, parks, free concerts almost all summer long.
Public transportation are about 5 minutes away, and buses are only 30 steps away from my house. Parking is free although you have to abide by the two days cleaning for each side of the street from 9-11 in the morning.
To get from airport, take a taxi for $30-$40, or take the bus or subway for less than $10 total per passenger.
Lock the outside doors when you leave and when you come home please. No smoking inside the house. You can surely smoke on the deck downstairs. No pets. Also, please wash your dishes, pans ... etc if you decide to cook at home. And keep your towels and bathroom bags in your room. Don't forget to hang the floor towel after showering. If you decide to shave, please clean the hair on and around the sink and bathtub. Thanks a lot.
Natasha's brother was very welcoming and helpful. The room was basic yet comfortable. The other guest(s) were friendly and keep to themselves. Short walk to the 2 train and right around the corner from Allans Bakery...a MUST if you stay there. About a 10 minute walk to Prospect Park.
My first AirBnB experience.
The room was great basically everything you needed, air con was effective and very necessary in the heat and humidity. Bed was comfortable and clean.
Being able to use the kitchen/fridge/kettle meant that I could have a cup of tea!
Shower/bathroom was always clean, and the shower was good.
The place was easy to get to and the directions provided are spot on.
I never met Natasha, but her brother was there to welcome me and make sure everything was ok. He was also available if there was anything else needed during my stay - which there wasn't.
The place is well located in a multicultural area (out of the hectic life in Manhattan), near to the subway station. The price is ideal for those travelers who seek just to have a private room and a warm shower after a long day visiting NYC (this is what I most value). The kitchen and bathroom are spacious. The hosts are nice and always willing to help their guests. I met Natasha's brother, who didn't matter to wait until my arrival late at night. He kindly showed me around the area, where to shop, where the subway is and the best options for traveling with a metro card. There are also some convenience stores and Laundromat.
In conclusion, convenient, affordable, well located. I'm very happy about my stay.
Nice apartment, and I felt very comfortable there. It was a fine room for one person at a very fair price. I didn't get to meet Natasha during my stay, but I met her sister and brother who were both very nice. It was great to have kitchen and refrigerator privileges. It was a nice area, very close to subway lines. I enjoyed my stay very much.
