This house literally lies at the foot of the Urubamba River, that flows into the famous Sacred Valley of the Incas, very representative of the Cuzco region.
The view here is just outstanding. The house is about 1615 square feet and is situated between the mountains of Sahuasiray and Pitusiray.
A very rustic house built of adobe and wood, decorated with whole trunks of eucalyptus and pine. It has an ecological stove and gigantic windows that overlook the entire valley.
The first floor is a large area that shares a living room (with sofa bed), dining room and spacious kitchen. It has a bay window where the sun sets every evening, perfect for rest and relaxation.
The second floor is a mezzanine with a huge area divided in two bedrooms and bathroom. It also has a very large window overlooking the river, the mountains and the stars.
Our house is the perfect place for those seeking tranquility and independence within the magic of the Valley. It is a place to relax, to write, to leave the hustle and enjoy the sounds of nature.
There is plenty open space around.
We are located in Huaran, between the towns of Pisac and Ollantaytambo. Pisac, well known for its market and Inca Ruins is only thirty minutes away from home, as well as the city of Ollantaytambo.
We are also an hour from the city of Cuzco and two hours from Machu Picchu.
If you are interested on doing outdoor or any other touristic activities, you landed in the right hands. We own Munaycha, the most important tour operator in the region dedicated to organize all sort of activities from rafting, hiking, sea kayak, mountain biking, trekking among others. We can also provide day to day transportation if required.
Other Things to Note
The dogs’s names are Tika=flower in quechua language (lab), Wayra=wind (german shepper), Warmi=woman (jack russel), and Miska=sweetie (the cat). They sleep outside the house.
No Smoking inside the house.
Pets are not allowed.
Duilio and Ximena have a beautiful place. It sits next to the river and is nestled between gorgeous mountains. Waking up and looking out into the cornfields with the sounds of the river is surreal.
I highly recommend taking advantage of the many activities that Duilio and Ximena have to offer through their tour company.
We had the chance to ride horses in Moray with a super knowledgable and friendly tour guide, Carlos.
You won't regret taking the off the beaten path and enjoying their home :)
Tip : Take advantage of the home cook through Ruth and Jackie. YUM!

We are a couple who love to travel to unusual places. We love Cuzco and have been here long enough to know where the magical pockets are. Our house welcomes good vibes. Enjoy!
