The space
We are opened year-round —summer and fall picturesque trails, golf, kayak, ATV, fish, small-town charm, Duluth is an hour away. November, find great deer hunting in the area. Winter, cozy by the fireplace, play games watch movies and cuddle up in snuggly blankets. Cozy up in a 600 square foot cabin, a wrap-around deck facing west with a beautiful river view. You will feel the sunset and view nature's scene on 10.7 acres to the left of the cabin if you are looking at the Totagatic natural freshwater river, great for Trout, Small Mouth Bass, Northern Pike, and Walleye.

The river is a 50-yard walk on a path from the cabin's front door, including a 40-foot dock over the marsh. At the end of the pier, take a left shy of the river on the trail and enjoy the wood love seat swing, relax, take in the scene, listen to the river flow, and the melody of the peepers (frogs) and whippoorwill (bird).

Bring your canoe, kayak, tube, paddleboard, or fishing gear, and enjoy the tranquility of the flowing river or nearby lakes. No way to drop off or pick up, contact Jacks-Trego, Parduns-Danbury, Pappy's, or Heartwood-Minong for their rentals and services.

For cooking, you will have access to a gas range with oven and stovetop, gas grill, microwave, toaster, and fire pits for camp cookouts or shore breakfasts. A full-size refrigerator/freezer will keep your food and beverages cold. We have coffee, tea, cocoa, spices, and common condiments for you, and several kitchen gadgets like a blender, cookie sheets, cake pan, and more.

For rain days or lazy nights, you'll have a 42 inch TV for DVD watching ONLY, including a small DVD, magazine, and book library.

For sleeping, you'll currently enjoy two queen beds in the loft, a pillow-top on the right that includes a heated mattress pad, and to the left a firm mattress—one queen futon in the common area, and plenty of soft sheets and blankets.

Enjoy several seating areas on the deck, including a bistro table, a chaise lounge for two (mattresses kept inside), and two Adirondack chairs. In the kitchen, you'll find a table and four chairs. The fire pit has two benches, a mini bench to make s' mores, and a dog bed, feel free to bring camp chairs or old snuggly blankets for at the fire, it's chilly at night up nordt.

There is an overhead fan, a small fan in the loft, and a portable window AC for hot, muggy days.

To freshen up, you will have a clean bathroom with a hot shower, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap.

Mobile phone service is nonexistent or spotty at best - We do NOT have Wi-Fi; nevertheless, Wi-Fi is free at any local restaurant or pub and a 6-minute drive away at Rosenthals, a local hang out where we encourage you to play shake a day, win prizes, get an amazing pizza made from scratch, an awesome bacon cheeseburger, and a beverage, then hang around for great stories and friendly locals.

Longer stays or filthy play, Minong has the "wash and shop" laundry mat right across the street from Henson's Country Foods.

Drake and I would highly recommend Longbranch Saloon & Eatery across from the hardware store, amazing breakfast, lunch, and dinner - morning bartender goes by "Hot Mama", she's fun! For more local information click around the Washburn County website (Co. we're located in), Burnett County is neighboring.

I am an active girl that loves to run, spend any time on the water, paddle board, hike and discover nature. I enjoy cooking healthy, good wine, creating beautiful spaces, a good book or writing about what I see. We have a wonderful 30lb (Archie) and 50lb (Winston) energetic mixed dogs from a rescue who love to accompany me and my wonderful husband, Drake. We love to travel and the coolest places I have been are Phuket Thailand, Paris France, Belgium, Amsterdam, Ireland, Palm Springs, CA., and many places in Mexico. I have so much more to see! I've always said "smile it makes you stronger" - physically, mentally, emotionally.
