What can we say if not totally perfect!!!! We arrived with 10 hours delay, my husband was really ill and it was quite stressful but Ketut was really great to help us with everything from organizing a doctor, food and all, and also driver, motorcycle if you need it. And the location. ....!!!!! We had the upper part and it was amazing, the room is super cosy and romantic. You're in the nature so you WILL hear all the animals, including the "good morning" from the cocks but you get used to it right away and its actually really nice and no traffic rumours what so ever. Good restaurants at 10 walk and 15 minutes on a motorbike to Ubud.
I enjoyed staying outside of the busy center of Ubud, meeting other guests from all over the world over breakfast (loved the banana pancakes) & was dropped of downtown by car or scooter (10-15 min, depending on the traffic) by a very kind member of the family or staff.
Ketut is a very personable host. Extremely friendly and willing to help you have an enjoyable vacation.
It is difficult to describe in words how mich we enjoyed our stay at Ketuts Place. If you really want to get inspired by the local live of Bali, then Ketuts place is the perfect stay. He and his family live in a small village just a 7-10 Minute scooter ride outside of Ubud. They are the perfect hosts to stay near Ubud.
Ketut had great recommendations for nice walks to the rice field, good local restaurants and nice places to visit. He found the time to show us around in his village and the surroundings.
We were traveling with our 8-month old Baby boy and from the first moment the whole family fell in love with him. And so did our son. They did everything to make our stay of 8 nights as easy and relaxed as possible and they succeeded.
This years Nyepi-celebrarions fell into the period of our stay and once more we were lucky that we chose Ketut as host. We went to the temple together and saw all the ceremonies going on for this special day in balinese culture.
From Ketuts place all important sights of The Ubud area are easily to reach by a scooter ride: Downtown Ubud, rice fields, Monkey Forest, Elephant Cave, Waterfalls, Spas and massages... there is so much to see and to so.
We highly, highly recommend this place to everyone!!
Amazing! We booked the room upstairs but got actually upgraded to an as beautiful room as the other was. These rooms are big and have an amazing design! We felt comfortable right from the beginning. Ketut and his family are lovely people who care a lot about their visitors. We got integrated so well! We absolutely loved it !
I had a great experience at Ketut's, firstly with the transfer organised from the airport, I was met by Ketut's son. This was a good way to start my trip particularly as it was my first time in Bali and Ubud.
The room was exactly as described, I had the top floor as in this picture, it was lovely and very clean. There is also an AirBNB room beneath you which made me feel more comfortable as a lone traveller, however I generally felt safe in the compound and everyone was very friendly residents and customers alike.
The breakfast was good providing fruit, omelette and banana pancakes and as much black coffee as you can manage throughout your stay!
Ketut is a great host and nothing is too much trouble to arrange at a descent price.
Ketut was a wonderful host who was willing to help us in every way. From arranging taxis to pick us up from the airport, to personally taking us on a guided tour around Ubud and surrounding areas which included the volcano, the water temple and an incredible coffee plantation. The room was beautiful, clean and really lovely to stay in. The breakfast is delicious and even when one of us wasn't well they helped cater to our needs. If you don't mind the sounds of nature at night (which are easy to get used to) then this is definitely a great place to stay if you're visiting Ubud.
