Home is shared with 2 working professionals (architect & designer) who are long term residents of Boulder and will be happy to help you find your way around town. We both work from home, so you will see us quite a bit, but we are very respectful of your space and very much want you to feel as if you are coming and going from your own home :)
Our neighborhood is very unique in that it's a tranquil little island of mixed use residential housing smack dab in the middle of Boulder. Despite it's sleepy nature, we are conveniently located just a few blocks from the Pearl Street Mall, the YMCA & Boulder Rock Club, bike/hiking paths, Whole Foods, the 29th Street Mall, and more.
If you are arriving by bus from the airport, you can walk here from the downtown Boulder bus station (~20 minutes) or make arrangements with me for pick up. If you are driving, please park anywhere along Mapleton Avenue when you arrive. If you're without a car, there are a couple of bikes you can borrow, plus within a couple of blocks here are plenty of public transportation stops, B-Cycle stations, and an Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Walking times vary, but here is a rough estimate of popular destinations from our house:
- Whole Foods: 5 Minutes
- Starbucks: 5 Minutes
- Goose Creek Hike/Bike Path: 3 Minutes
- Pearl Street Mall: 15-20 minutes
A small breakfast is served daily, consisting of fresh bread, jam, butter, assorted meats, orange juice, and coffee. If you have dietary restrictions (i.e. vegan, paleo, gluten-free, etc.) prefer to skip breakfast entirely, or would rather have a snack basket of fresh fruits and cheeses available to you please let me know in advance and I'll adjust accordingly.
Wonderful place and felt so well taken care of - both in Erin and Rob being available as needed, but also being left alone! Not always an easy balance to achieve. Perfect location and accommodations and wonderful kitchen to prepare meals. The next time I'm in Boulder, I will definitely see if this place is available!!!
Erin and Rob were fantastic hosts, considerate and generous. They even provided me with specialty foods on my gluten-free, dairy-free diet for breakfasts. I enjoyed talking with them as they are easygoing, interesting and helpful to anyone trying to find restaurants or navigate the area. Their place is very neat, eclectic, cozy., and centrally located in nice neighborhood. It is nice to have your own bathroom and TV, as well as writing desk, for added privacy. I would totally stay there again!!
Wow! What a wonderful week I had staying with Erin & Rob. They are very laid back, fun hosts and seemed to know exactly when to be available and when I needed some private down time. The location is perfect! Just a 10-15 minute walk to Downtown Pearl St and right around the corner from Whole Foods. And boy does that WF's ROCK!! They also let me borrow a bike for when I didn't feel like walking.
Having lived in Boulder for over 10 years, they answered every question I had and gave me great suggestions on hiking trails, restaurants and more...
The room was perfect. I had my own en suite bathroom, closet and tea kettle for the cold nights. Daily breakfast was served along with fresh French Press coffee and a special treat of a Pumpkin muffin on Sunday morning. This gal can cook! I truly felt spoiled :)
Staying with Rob & Erin solidified my wanting to move to Boulder. They are what Boulder is all about!
I had a great stay with Erin and Rob. They are incredibly generous people and fun to talk to. Their place was close to lots of great locations in town including Whole Foods, the Apple Store and shopping on 29th street mall when you need to snag that beenie you forgot for a cold day. Highly recommend a stay here. :)
Staying with Erin and Rob was a true bliss. I had such a great time and would get back in a Boulder Second. It felt just like being with friends incl the amenity of my own bathroom, water heater, coffee and tea at my pleasure and even breakfast! Location is more than perfect when you're visiting Boulder without a car.
Erin and Rob hosted me in the chaos after the Colorado flood and were kind, gracious and interesting folks!
Staying with Erin was great! Would definitely stay again. It was clean and comfortable and I love how they decorated. Plus there are lots of interesting books! Erin and her husband are very nice, fun people and also helpful, offering information on restaurants and attractions in town and helping bail water out of a neighbor's garage since the town was flooding when we stayed with them. (Their house seems to be quite flood-proof.) There's no AC, but there is a ceiling fan and they also had a window fan for us so the temperature was quite comfortable. There was chocolate, tea and coffee and an electric kettle in our room, and they had a shelf in the fridge cleaned out for us to use. Great hosts!
Erin & Rob were fantastic hosts. The communication was superb and Erin even picked me up from the bus station when I arrived. They were very knowledgeable about the area, had excellent recommendations and even had a bike that they let me use during my stay. Their house was comfortable and clean and I never felt awkward or unwelcome. Overall great people & the perfect location. I miss it already!
I was looking for a room downtown with a private bath and this was perfect. My hosts Erin and Rob did a great job remodeling their home so that it feels updated and clean and yet retains the character of the original. They were very friendly hosts who were quick to accommodate if they could, including the loan of a bike and helmet, but unobtrusive at the same time. I had a great stay and will definitely look for them whenever I return to Boulder.
